I’m talking about overhead hit from armored ogryn, i think mauler can do it too.
I’m full life, full shield, and i get one shotted without even being on the ground to be helped by my teammate. I play mostly vet, i can already be destroyed by pretty much anything, how is that considered fair or good ?
Please don’t say ‘that’s why Ironwill exist’, i take it. First, having mandatory perks isn’t good, second even if you take it in Havoc it’s often very chaotic, you’ll take some machinegun lost bullet or whatever, you can’t be expected to be at 75%+ toughness all the time.
There’s no scenario where this mechanic is pleasant. Most of the times you get one shot through a corner, from someone you can’t see in the chaos in Havoc, from someone that wasn’t focusing you, from behind but you can’t hear it because it’s havoc and there’s 10 specials making noise, etc …
I love this game but dying this way it just lame, please consider removing this.
If this is occurring while you’re at one remaining wound (last chunk of health), then all I have to say is git gud. You failed to defend yourself and paid the price.
If this is occurring at more than one wound, then that’s more of a bug that needs to be addressed than a design flaw.
That’s just Havoc, my man. There’s little room for error, right, it’s the hardest content in the game & you can die pretty fast. Especially on the higher levels, you have to be very attentive & careful. What I suggest is having Toughness, Toughness, Stamina as your Curios for Vet in particular. Have CDR, Toughness & Stamina as your Perks, it will help you a lot to become a bit more agile as Vet, it feels better, trust me, because Vet doesn’t have the best mobility. Another thing is that you have to learn how to time your dodges more effectively to survive a pack of Crushers/Maulers. It does take a lot of practice, honestly, to get to a point where they’re not such a threat to you. All I can say is that it’s really all about practice & becoming more accustomed to the mechanics. If you feel like you’re going down too much in higher difficulties, I would start a bit lower & keep chiseling away at it. Havoc isn’t for the faint of heart, it’s not for everybody, granted. Also, another thing is that if somebody is down & it looks too chaotic, that means there’s too much risk to rescue & you shouldn’t pursue saving somebody as selfish as that is, it keeps you out of danger. Instead, take your group & backtrack as far as possible within the map, so that person can spawn closer at a pick-up location. It’s safer & more reasonable. Good luck with your Darktide journey.
I explained it, if you read my comment you would understand it’s not a bug, at high level of havoc melee attack put a % of damage as corruption so you can get one shotted without being on the ground even from full hp zero wounds and full shields, as a vet with no iron will, i suppose it can happend with pretty much every class but Ogryn and probably Arbites.
Glad that if you suggest it’s a bug and should be addressed we agree that it shouldn’t be in the game.
Respectfully i’m not here to get advice. I have thousands of hours in Vermintide and hundreds on Darktide. I love the game, the gameplay, the harder difficulty, testing build, etc …
You are explaining very basic stuff. It should be apparent from my post that i don’t need that. I’ve spent hours looking at build, tweaking it to my own taste.
I mean telling people to get CDR and toughness ? Come on dude.
I know it’s basic stuff, but if you’re going down to simple things like that in Havoc, that’s a you problem & not anybody else’s. Overheads are literally the easiest mechanic to master in this game practically. Higher difficulties might not be for you. If you have that many hours respectfully, you should know this simple thing by now. It’s really not too complicated to get by practicing. I literally said getting more Stamina & Stam regen will help you with this issue with more time for dodges, that’s very practical, you could even get the Agile blessing if you really want to go ham on certain weapons or even the Stamina Regen Delay Boost nodes in the skill tree. Did you even read what I said? Besides that, it really is a skill issue you need to work on.
This is the gameplay feedback part of the forum. We are here to talk about the problem we have with the game, why are you telling me ‘it’s your problem’.
You talk like i’m asking for overhead attack to be removed, or not one shot anymore, or complaining about difficulty. Just put me on the ground, like for every others attack in the game.
Ironic that you still suggest i’m terrible at the game, while saying stamina or stam regen for more dodging, when stamina does not affect number of dodge or dodge cooldown.
It shouldn’t be removed, because one person cannot overcome a simple mechanic. Yes, it’s a skill issue & you need more practice. I’m sure you’ve had a match where you went down to it & yes, it can be frustrating, but believe me man… Practice makes perfect. You can overcome stuff in the game by repeating an action & getting used to it. I’ve been pissed too at situations in this game, but I don’t whine about it. I overcome it & become better. If you refuse to do that, then you don’t really want to be helped. You’re just looking for drama. More Stam = more time for dodges. I never said it increases dodges lol. Re-read that.
its the slowest attack in the game it doesnt even kill you outside of havoc or damnation you shouldnt really play anything above that if you arent comfortable with dodging several in a row
I’m gonna stop answering to you because your answer are getting more and more useless and ridiculous. You are a great player, i’m a terrible one for suggesting that maybe this mechanic is over the top.
You don’t think it should be removed, thanks for your input.
