Issue Description:
Reliably crashes when DLSS or FSR is enabled. DLSS and FSR 2 crash 2-3x per map. FSR 1 is closer to 1x per map. Disabling all of these results in completely stable game play.
RTX 3070 & i5-12600KF
Tried both Windows 11 21H2 & 22H2. No difference.

OMG thank you so much! My game has been unplayable because of the crashes. Turned off DLSS and finally I can play!
I have solved my problem!! I’ve now played for 2 days, many missions, zero crashes. I’ve even bumped up my settings to no longer have everything off or on low. It’s glorious.
So, I did two things, I’m not sure if the first one matters or not.
First, I downgraded my Windows installation from Windows 11 22H2 back to 22H1. By itself, this did not help. I still crashed afterwards. So, I don’t know if this is important or not, but it’s something I changed between the pre-order beta (where I didn’t have this problem) and the release. I haven’t tried upgrading again as I don’t want to mess this up.
Second, I reinstalled my Nvidia driver and then cleared out all the caches I thought might matter. This is exactly what I did:
- Download latest Nvidia driver and reinstall it.
- Reboot.
- Clear out Windows DirectX Shader Cache:
- Reboot (dunno if it’s necessary).
- Delete all the Darktide files except for config (i’m guessing it’s just the shader stuff that matters, but why not clear it all out):
-
and start the game.
I hope this helps you!
Well sir, you’ve done it again! This worked for me, though I did not downgrade Windows version. Just reinstalled newest Nvidia driver, cleared DirectX Shader Cache, deleted those Darktide files, then restarted PC.
Re-enabled DLSS and no crashes so far!!
Edit: ok nevermind, third game and it crashed after a minute. DLSS back off for now.
