Sorry to hear this @NibblesMcP
If you haven’t already done so, please try a clean reinstallation of Darktide (to rule out any issue with the game installation or settings):

If the issue persists, it may also be helpful to perform a ‘Selective Startup’, which can help diagnose whether a background application is resulting in your issue. This can be performed by:
-
Press the Windows key
-
Type ‘msconfig’ and select ‘System Configuration’
-
On the ‘General’ tab, select ‘Selective Startup’
-
Deselect ‘Load startup Items’
-
Reboot your PC
If the issue no longer occurs after having performed the Selective Startup, try re-introducing your programs one-by-one to determine which is causing your issue.
Please let me know how this goes.
Still the same issue, even with clean reinstall.

I can reproduce this by busting shader cache.
Several questions:
- What is your GPU?
- Is it Nvidia?
- If its Nvidia did you downloaded the 27 January driver 591.86?
- Irregardless of your GPU vendor, do you know how to clear the driver shader cache? Manually or via DDU?
- Do you know how the check driver shader cache settings and the allocated space?
hey bob,
i got nvidia 1080ti, the most latest driver from the nvidia app shows 582.28 with it being up to date according to the app. I tried downloading 591.86 but i got an error during installation saying it was not compatible with my device. regarding line 4, i barely did it and will post results soon, deleted via ddu in safemode. * update - still run into the same issue. still have game stutters
Regarding number 5, can you explain or go into more detail? do you mean changing it from default to 100 gb or something on the nvidia control panel?
