Quickplay is actually dead

Besides the lack of an additional modifier like hi-int, dog waves, hi-stg and whatever. Campaign missions seem to have scripted boss spawns, for the first half of the campaign or so you get very few monsters and it’s only plague ogryns. Then a couple missions with Slugs. Then a couple Chaos Spawns as you progress towards the end of the campaign.

was like this for me to, this game i so dead lol its a shame.

This is what happens when everybody blocks you

So i gather talking to people and trying to figure out why is it happening isn’t an option?

Auric is alive and kicking, except for the quickplay part of it, which is deservingly dying for a good reason!

I’d rather be the one they hate, than the one they think is friendly.

Why’s that silent bob 515

I don’t think it matters what comes next, it’s just objectively wrong.

How and why would it be a good think if the fastest MM option doesn’t work properly?

Because people play Auric for the difficulty and the quickplay goes against it.

Why would you play Hunting Grounds or Hi int zone easy mode when you can play Shock troop gauntlet and get a semblance of real difficulty? When all it takes is a manual choice that is just as easy to make as is the quickplay!

Worse yet, why does it have to be explained?

Here’s a month old thread telling you what happens when HISTG didn’t got updated

TL;DR Auric is Maelstrom and HISTG, the rest is Auric in name only and people it seems vote for that sentiment with targeted queuing instead of going for the quickplay

Sorry for being cheeky.

I do not have this problem playing only Auric’s on quickplay i always get matches and i rarely get stuck in “dead” matches. I do not have long wait times. Quickplay is fully alive for me.

Though i heard there was a some problem with the updated mission screen that when a match went out of rotation it didn’t get populated, i don’t know if this is fixed or even true.

I usually play between 19:00 and 02:00 Swedish time (CET/CEST).

I’m sure that some play Auric for the difficulty. Some because it challenges them and some because it doesn’t challenge them as much as Havoc.

Then there’s the thing of: if you want to play the more difficult missions on that board, why the f*ck would you click the ONE button on that screen that leaves it up to chance?

Because it doesn’t actually make sense and is your opinion and not the factual reality of the matter.

people play quickplay because it’s easy and (supposed to be) fast. A prerequisite for that is to not care too much about what you end up playing.

However, if you care about playing something specific or avoiding something specific, pressing the “get me into a random game asap”- button doesn’t make the slightest sense.

A way to fix the problem you have with it would be to allow us to filter out certain things to not get matched into. Having the function die and become useless is not how you fix that.

What are you trying to say? I’m pretty sure that was my point already, people are not leaving it to chance and that’s why quickplay doesn’t always work

Yeah so what’s your point?

I genuinely don’t understand why are you retelling me the exact same thing i just said, while acting like i said something different!

Not seeing how QP is “dead”, but like many people are reporting lately, if someone leaves the group it is likely the bot will remain for the rest of the game.

I don’t play QP to play with bots. I hope this gets resolved sooner than later.

I see now, I somehow missed the middle part of your message and got the wrong idea.

You’re making the point that since it’s possible to directly chose what you want to play, nobody clicks QP and that’s why it’s empty.

lol the issue with quickplay (for me anyway) is that the rewards are 10-20% bonuses, but if you play a mission giving less, that still wont equate to just doing the hardest mission possible. SO until the rewards are more equalized, why would I ever do quickplay? lol

Yeah, that’s the other part to it.

20% more dockets means nothing if I can chose to play a mission that gives me 3x more.

Quickplay is also perfectly capable of putting you on the same map thrice in a row with slightly different flavors!

Also the elephant in the room, some of us like to go the missions from the start here and there, while QP doesn’t feel like indulging that desire.

There’s a lot of factors going against it and those factors grow over time i think, at 1300 hours my willingness to entertain QP quirks simply isn’t there and i doubt i’m alone with that sentiment!

the logic behind it is incredibly flawed i will be honest. The reward for quickplay is not playing what you want, for higher reward. That just is not the case for it, you play something you dont want or dont pick, for sometimes less reward.

you’re not, i do not quickplay either and for some of the reasons i just stated and what you said. 1500 hours in myself

90% of my Quickplay games start from the beginning.

Can you elaborate what you mean with ‘QP quirks’, I’m guessing you mean like the bonus is not really rewarding?

Because i don’t think anyone except new players play specifically for the Bonus reward.
