Questions about mechanics

Hi all!

As some of you might know I’ve spent a lot of time delving into the finer mechanics of Darktide with plenty of wonderful discoveries fueling fantastic builds. But there’s a bunch of stuff I still don’t know and are hard to test (I really should get the Creature Spawner mod, does Disrupt Destiny work with it btw?).

So if any of you know the answers to these, I would much appreciate it! :smile: :heart:

Disrupt Destiny
At 15 stacks DD grants +15% base, +30% crit, 37.5% weakspot dmg.

  • Do they stack?
  • Does it work the same as finesse bonuses in general, where the bonus only applies to the portion of extra dmg from crit / weakspot not total (so for example 100 base, 200 crit dmg means +10% crit is really 1001.1 = 110 + base = 210 total)* ?
  • BB gets no finesse bonus from Scrier’s Precognition, but does from its base dmg bonus stacks. Does DD likewise only buff BB with that +15% base dmg but nothing else?

Devil’s Claw - Parrying

  • Does parrying apply Skullcrusher? (I would think yes, since normally it’s applied by any attack that staggers, or hits while an enemy is staggered)
  • Are the details pane stagger values real, or does parrying have a special property like Deimos 2:nd heavy? I feel like it’s similar to Deimos - at least on weakspots - since it seems to stagger things far beyond the reach of the stagger value.

Thunderstrike Blessing (+40% impact vs. staggered)

Is it identical to Skullcrusher? As in:

  • A 5s debuff on enemy (benefits the whole team), and is applied on staggering or hitting when an enemy is staggered
  • Is only applied by weapon hits & pushes, not blitzes & ults
  • Its bonuses only work while the enemy is staggered
  • Stacks 2x for max +80%
  • Can it reach any interesting normally unattainable breakpoints?

Impact Blessings

As above with Thunderstrike breakpoints, can Hammerblow, Trauma etc. in general reach any interesting breakpoints? Specifically since the elite & monster stagger resist buff which made them immune to many stagger spams from before. Namely:

  • Can they stagger or even permastagger bosses, like Voidstrike headshots or oggies with shovel & club slaps used to?
  • What about muties, enemy oggies etc?
  • Especially on high-impact weapons like the zelly’s Crusher

The Vicious Slice blessing: Any good uses for this one? It seems rather useless to me but I’d love to hear experiences to the contrary!

Yes, but u need to turn off “player invisibility”. Disrupt destiny somehow works only when enemy have “active” AI. So u can obtain stacks of DD with this mod.

For testing in regard to any type of debuff/dot

Debuff Indicator at Warhammer 40,000: Darktide Nexus - Mods and community (nexusmods.com)

Make sure to turn the debuff indication on for the enemy types that you are testing with (and ofc to turn on the display of the debuff that you are testing).
