Sir, yessir!
This pretty much. Funny that people don’t even talk about the more abusable part, temp-hp (and with the grim-abuse: true hp) generation Sienna has with her crits. You can heal at any given time to full pretty much in seconds. Invulnerable targets like the sorcerers on Convocation are a very good target to just get your temp hp.
I don’t know what kind of ranged you played with, but when I play with ranged that do know how to position themself, there is not an valid option to play agressive.
A ranged opinion on this aggressive style can be…
You will be alone, you will be fighting at stupid positions, you will get disabled. We will not risc our health to review the green circle chaser stupid meele figher.
If there is 2 agresseive meeles there is a higher chance for success, but still this not a the best playstyle.
And yes I play meele, does not matter what class, I myself go primarly meele, I like to play all classes except sienna, ranger and bh.
The sad part is that when you do go aggresive you take an action that splits the party, and sometimes that causes a whipe. So it’s more effective to help ranged than do blast into the horde
Still we do not play a game for merely effectivity, most play for fun.
fun = meele
But when pushed hard survival = ranged + melee
I don’t see what you’re trying to say? I play the WS almost exclusively ranged, I only switch to melee when I have too.
If you look at my scorecard, you’ll actually see I was the top ranged in that game, for kills that is. I just play very aggressively and have pretty good situational awareness. From what I’ve seen, most Pyros tend to focus on the horde coming a mile away and don’t pay attention to what’s happening right next to them until they get hit. Can’t tell you how many times I’ve saved the Pyro’s life from a executioner or stormvermin behind them with the hagbanes stagger. Then they’ll tell me to watch FF, cause the 0.5% damage from the hagbane FF is way worse than a stormvermins charged attack lol.
So yea… I spend most of my time protecting the other ranged while still out killing and damaging them. You can be a green circle chaser and not do dumb shít you know…
That’s the disconnect I feel here. Everyone is all “melee vs. ranged” and here I am swapping between both constantly during a map no matter the character I’m playing.
Hell when I play my main UC I’m practically swapping between dagger/mace and conflagration every other attack.
Welp. I just tried the Resourceful Shooter + Temp HP on Crit build.
Can we just agree that being able to get your ult up in 1-2 seconds is not ok?
Show me proof of doing this consistently without using a macro. 2 seconds, every time.
I agree with this build being annoying, but for different reason. It really seems like a lot of people try to play this build right now, but what they usually do is ult you and 2 slaverats near you, stack hordes up to insane hyperdensity and die when enemies are coming from more than one direction(and never use shotgun for some reason).
It’s just annoying to play with those pyros, because they usually do more bad than good. I’m yet to see someone play this build well.
Can we agree that using no context scorecards to try to make non-stop straw man arguments is asinine?
@Darksky aye, cuz it’s a bad build.
This thread is asinine…
Amen on all three. Scores mean very little, especially because one could ask their friends to step aside a round. This thread should have died by now.
Technically has petered out multiple times but “someone” keeps necroing it.
1-2 second ults. Will time stamp later. First 3 minutes shows some. 21:55 is a good spot too!
Oh, I know.
Thanks for posting this. This is definitely proof Pyro and/or beam needs a buff. It took you forever to progress even with a 5-10 second CD active with that setup.
There’s a funny one a couple seconds after 21:55. Just instantly at max ult.
I’m wondering if the heat drop on ult would be better or worse. You wouldn’t have to vent, but it would drop the heat crit chance increase and would decrease how fast the ult comes back (by 30%). It looks like a crit with multiple enemies is just an instant ult refresh, which makes me think the macro part is irrelevant unless it’s a single target (so maybe bosses?).
Soo…not all the time, and still taking forever to finish a 13 minute map, still doing close to zero damage just to get the unreliable ult up.
You aren’t doing better than other builds on this very career, nor are you doing better than skillbased builds on other careers.
What’s broken about it? If people want to build to have the ult up and temp health up all the time, let them. It’s not broken because it’s not performing better than other options.
You can say over and over again that having the ult up that fast is broken - but if the steps to make it happen make you still perform worse than other builds, I just have to ask, how is this broken?
It’s funny, because the full cdr build isn’t even her strongest build. Everyone complains about her, but never says anything about huntsman, BH or kerillian hitting 14k damage on long maps. They’re just bloated numbers people use to cry wolf.
Clearly he was taking his time to try out the staff. Even looks like he backtracks slightly in parts of the map (the start).
It’s not even close to her strongest build, and requires spazzing out constantly against every enemy you see - which is only going to work with bots, not with actual other sentient players that aren’t just playing along to let you do your spazzing.
