Psyker's Kinetic Flayer shouldn't be procced by DoT ticks

I liked how they changed the talent very much, the way they gave you sufficient control over where it’s applied. Unfortunately, when DoTs come into play, Soulblaze especially, it all goes sideways. It effectively reverts all positive effect of this change, turning it into random crap again - as you can’t control where your SB goes, especially when using certain combinations of talents, abilities and weapons, it just spreads everywhere quickly.

Imagine you see a mixed hoard running at you, so you blow them up with Voidblast staff a few times, use the Shrike putting a bunch of SB on them - the usual routine. Then it splits, part of them attack your teammates, and other part - you. Wouldn’t it be more useful if you could make sure Kinetic Flayer will only be procced at the foes that attack you right now in this case, where you most need it to survive? Instead, it often will be wasted somewhere else due to SB tick proccing it.

I don’t really see benefits of allowing it to be activated on DoT ticks, on the other hand. You can always hit something one more time (or shoot it) if you want it dead, to activate the BB.

Kinetic flayer is fine the way it is, if anything it proccing on dots is best because it ensures maximum uptime on that damage. Also it might be my imagination but I’ve noticed that it tends to hit whatever is closest to you assuming you’re doing damage to it.

In its current form it can be a good special sniping tool as well since shriek can hit things through walls. I’ve used shriek to push a dog off a player through a wall multiple times and have the brain burst kill the dog for example which I’m a fan of.

Yeah that’s a good point. If I’m trying to deal with an approaching Crusher I don’t want the nearby flimsy Shotgunner who has a few Soulblaze stacks to steal Flayer.
