Kinetic Flayer should go off on consecutive hits, not randomly

Just a thought: The Kinetic Flayer talent is really cool, but you have too little control over when it goes off for it to be genuinely useful. It simply has a 10% chance to proc on any hit, but with a 15 second cooldown, so it’s extremely likely for it to just go off on a random Poxwalker and then not be available when you’re attacking a Mauler or Bulwark.

The way this talent could be improved substantially is if it was changed to not go off randomly with a 10% chance, but instead on the 5th consecutive hit on a target for example. That way you would actually have a decent degree of control over what it procs on, and it would be pretty unlikely to proc on a pox walker.

Automatic weapons that fire quickly would still be the best for procing it, but slower weapons would also be able to get it out on bosses and elites. It would become a bit of a balancing act between being able to activate it quickly and being able to activate it deliberately on only the toughest enemies. Either way much better than just having to hope it hits something that deserves it.

Somebody wrote before Kinetic Flayer should be made a base feat and exchanged for Battle Meditation.

This should definitely happen.

And warp charges at least come from successful BB’s, not BB kills (assuming the current BB scaling is deliberate and not just not tested on higher difficulties).

While I only play my Psyker on Malice, because everything else is just a chore with absolutely no reward, I can confidently say the talent can go off way faster than the 15 sec CD suggest, so its either per enemy CD or its bugged. Pretty sure its the second one.

But besides that the other feats are either a joke to use or a hassle to keep up without Psychic Communion.

Then the talent description is wrong. The main issue is that it goes off on random poxwalkers for me and not on things where a free brainburst would help me.

Some psyker weapons (like void staff) can can blow up enemy body parts with a a bit of lingering warp flame. If you go for headshots with the void staff into a horde, the aftermath looks like the entire horde was BB’d to death.
