Psyker talent that gives you perils resistance is functionally useless by the numbers

24% perils of the warp reduction at max stacks of warp tokens reduced the brain burst cost down from 45% perils bar to 34.2% of your perils bar. you can still only get off three brain bursts either way.

Now imagine you’re making a build that doesn’t use brain burst all day and you can’t use any talents that require warp charge at all.

I strongly agree, the Perils Resistance is functionally useless unless you’re using both Warp Battery and Psychic Communion-- and even then you have to somehow generate 5~6 Charge stacks before you get any use out of it, which means you’ve already likely cast upwards of 200% Peril with no benefit from the Feat.

I’ve suggested a complete rework of the feat in my Psyker analysis here, where it instead starts at 40% Resistance and scales down as you build stacks, giving Psyker a safety net at their weakest point to help them rebuild Charge stacks.
