Psyker surge staff killing at lower than critical perils
i thought as long as your under 97% perils casting should be safe, but if you use the surge staff charged attack i die even at 85% ish perils, how do you know when its “safe” to cast?
apparently its because theres 5% perils gain at the end of the animation. this makes it very hard to know when its safe to zap
A cast of the Surge staff from 0% will do a total of 20% Peril buildup if you cast it immediately. The problem that’s happening here is because of the final fist-clench animation which adds on some more Peril buildup, and if you’re at 100%, it will instantly down you without even giving you a chance to react with your ultimate.
This needs to be addressed, as it limits the gameplay to “cast 4 times then vent”, and then you just don’t ever bother with being over 80% Peril, because it’s basically a gamble whether you’ll survive the next cast or not.
