Just remove FOMO and I’ll consider starting to use it, once crafting is fixed to an acceptable level. I get that we can’t earn everything in game.

I really have to say that transparency would not hurt.
My counter to that as a tactic is just to ignore the cash shop completely. I don’t browse it because I know I’ll never get the full picture of what should be available, and so I’ll never buy any of the premium currency. Although, I’m aware that I’m not the targeted demographic as these predatory, FOMO based systems are aimed specifically at neurodivergent people with poor impulse control, which is despicable.
There are definitely cosmetics I want to buy that I’m currently waiting for. The part of me that hates waiting seconds this.
Apart from all the FOMO stuff the most devious move is to intentionally bundle mismatching outfits and have the one fitting cosmetic be a single item in the 1400s.
They truly went all in on manipulative sales psychology. People always argueing in defense of FS and how they are such kind good people having our best interest at heart, should remember that to them you’re nothing but a piggy bank to be exploited.
The upper management making the decisions aren’t in on this to make the best gaming experience possible because they love games. They’re in on this to maximize sales on MTX because they consider you walking (mouth)breathing piggy banks.
The correct response in turn should be to hold them accountable. And there’s only two viable options for that: Not buying and bad press. Because nothing is bad for business like bad MTX press.
Fatshark managed to make quite a turnaround after they got their sht pushed in for the absolute insult that was Winds of Magic.
These types only learn through pain. Change my mind.
I agree, 100% but I would add the caveat that their main targets are still going to buy lots of their MTX stuff because they simply cannot help themselves, regardless of the bad press or boycotts by other users. MTX is pure targeted manipulation of neurodivergent people and the companies responsible do not give a damn about who they hurt to make their profits
I totally agree with you and will be voting on my feet. As I am writing this I am also changing my reviews to negative on all fatshark titles to make it clear this cannot stand.
Oh absolutely. There’s a reason it works so well. You only need a fraction of the playerbase to buy MTX for it to be profitable. It’s the whole reason companies masturbate to metrics and collected data instead of listening to community feedback.

i wish we got vermentide 2s shop instead or if we could get a middle ground and rotate it once a week instead of every other week
I was playing vermintide 2 last night, I checked the store and I still don’t get why they simply don’t do it like that for Darktide. Everything is in there, there is even some package on sale like a real shop lol.
