Praise Sigmar for Bomb Rat Re-Work

Not sure if this was in the patch notes and I missed it, but Unstable Breed (explody rats) got a rework, and it’s so much better now! They do knockback when they explode but no longer do damage. This makes them actually doable, and I think it’s a really fun modifier. Letting them hit you for tactical re-positioning adds a new gameplay strategy. The frequency could maybe be tuned down a bit… but I’ll take it!

The campaign weekly is Unstable Breed + Teench Twins (splitting enemies). Got a group of randos together and we tried to beat it on Cataclysm… which was absolute insanity. We never beat it but we did get close a couple times. The bomb rats split into clan rats, so each group of bombers turns into a big horde on its own. That, plus usual Cata mayhem, was epic rat battles on a scale I haven’t played before.

TL;DR thanks for tweaking the bomb rats and making them more fun and actually do-able on higher difficulties.

I think you are celebrating too early, bomb rats have been known to occasionally do no damage if twins are also in play.

Yes. That. FS did nothing.

But the campaign weekly was always better, it’s bomb carriers in Chaos Wastes specifically that have no melee counter. Correct me if im wrong

I’ll have to give them a shot sometimes, I’m always annoyed by these guys, don’t enjoy them.

They don’t deal damage in adventure, in chaos wastes they deal damage.

Damn, I had my hopes up for a second there.

That’s such a weird difference. They used to deal damage in adventure too, right? I haven’t played them in adventure mode in forever, because they seemed way too OP.
