Poxbursters are not responding to push staggers occasionally. Community theory is that prior damage/stagger is overriding the stagger and preventing the push.

Oddly you can sometimes stagger them with the follow-up push-attack; unfortunately, depending on the weapon this causes them to fall sideways instead of backwards so you still get hit.
Okay, did some more testing and observations:
- every time I’ve successfully shoved them, they’ve been in their “upright” state and hadn’t yet started diving
- seems like if you shove them twice while they’re diving, they get shoved back correctly (although it’s hard to do this and still leave yourself enough room to not get hit)
My theory is now that poxbursters were granted some stagger resistance during their “attack” animation at some point in a recent patch, the same way stormvermin or maulers did during their overheads in VT2.

Should the flamestaff primary fire push them back? It worked last week, and now they just ignore it?
