Poxbursters are enemy #1 right now, and I find they are the chief reason for most fails. When a wave of them spawns, it’s almost guaranteed that at least one player will die, due to how broken they are right now.
They’ve always been an issue when spawning in groups, as they can spawn staggered enough that pushing the first one will set off the second while it’s still in range. This has always been a frustrating issue, but now with their AoE effectively increased by poor optimization attempts, they are so much worse. The only damage I’m even taking in most missions is just bursters who refuse to be pushed, and especially on a glass cannon class like Hive Scum, it only takes this happening twice and you are simply dead.
There’s really no reason for something this dangerous to be this unavoidable. If you’re not going to revert your previous changes, then shrink their hitbox, or severely reduce the damage at the outermost distances. It never has made a lot of sense how they go from max to zero damage so sharply.
The main problem is that other teammates shoot them when they’re near you. This happens every single day and it’s not exactly fair. Not sure what can be done about it though.
Yeah, that happens more, I think, because of the influx of new players (since it was free to play). That’s just inexperience, it will change with experience. But also, it’s heavily encouraged now because how often you can still get blown up even if you do a good push.
Apparently they’ve acknowledged the issue and are on track to either finding it or know where it might be. I don’t have any idea how the influencer/insider/tester program works, I mean hell I don’t even know what it’s actually called, but if people who are in direct communication with fatshark are saying they’ve acknowledged the issue, there’s a pretty good chance they’re not just blowing smoke:
