I actually just realized I haven’t played the train or trench mission in a month because they’re not available in Havoc or Maelstrom. Weird how we literally got a new map that ticks all of the boxes of what I want most from a map, but I have to manually pick it if i want to play it.
the new maps and areas are so long overdue nobody hopes for them anymore xD
I’m torn between:
• New Enemies
• New Maps
• New Weapons
There’s definitely a new Class coming. However, I wouldn’t expect nor want it to release until the Q2 2026 Update, with a reveal at Skulls 2026.
Funny how most people want new weapons while most are never even used

It does feel like almost a year it was only one new map added.
Spice up brown/grey to more varied biomes.
New biomes actually sound ideal. New factions.
New maps is best. Whichever class or difficulty you play, you can enjoy them. The second best thing is new enemies to spice things up on the old maps, or major mission modifiers which they recently tend to lock behind the events (I hate it).
Weapons can come out underpowered, clunky or for a class you don’t really play. Maybe we could get one new Psyker staff, Meltagun for Vet/Zealot, grenade launcher for Vet/Arbites, something for Hive Scum (pistol that shoots in 3 round bursts?) and leaked hammer weapon for Ogryn. Arbites has poor value as a DLC class in terms of unique things they offer compared to Hive Scum, imo. They should get at least one more weapon unique to them, and it should be something special and fun to use.
I think we have enough classes at this point, but if the next one sells as well as Arbites/Hive Scum, I think they’ll continue to milk the new classes as their main source of revenue, if more people buy classes comparable to premium cosmetics.
New bosses is cool, but uh, not really needed without the new maps. Unless we get some major story developments that warrant adding new boss-type enemies to shift focus from Wolfer. But right now I don’t feel like it makes sense adding another boss fight, the game feels like it’s smth like ~3 maps behind on the schedule. Boss fights are cool but not that replayable in this game.
Tbh I’m not sure where all that prem skin revenue is going into, the content drip is kinda poor, especially considering 50% of two major updates were locked behind paywall this year.

That’s less of a “content” problem and more of a balancing problem, to be honest.
There are definitely Weapon TYPES that haven’t been added thus far. Flails, Polearms, et cetera. I’m also in favour of more consistency in the way of… we have Boltgun AND Bolt Pistol, we have Plasma Gun but Plasma Pistol is still nowhere to be seen. Those sorts of things.
Ogryns are in desperate need of new Weapons regardless, since their current arsenal is very… how to say, anaemic? Nerf Psyker and then give them new Force Staves to quell the review bombers a bit. I need my Beam Staff back, Fatshark. I’m drooling for it.
I think a new enemy faction is the one I want the most (No Man’s Land does hint Genestealer Cults might be arriving), followed by new enemy units for the Scabs & Dregs.
After that new maps with new biomes (Plants and gardens please). Maps, maps and more maps. (And music for the new areas).
Old Weapons need a rebalance. I favour a more moderate series of buffs and debuffs (whether that be +/- damage, ammo, attack speed and so on) rather than the massive debuffs some want. This should naturally be coupled with a rebalance of the enemies.
New weapons for all the classes would be sweet. A Melta-Gun is a must have (Veteran and Zealot definitely would love it. Could be on the Arbitrator as well). A Plasma Pistol for the Veteran. A new Staff for the Psyker (A Beam staff?). I’m having trouble thinking of a good new ranged weapon for the Zealot, maybe a Hand Flamer/Flamer Pistol? (Inferno Pistol would be cool, however those are rare as hell in the lore). Ogryn needs Brass Knuckles/Fist Weapons. The Arbitrator could use a Heavy Stubber like in the Kill Team (shared with the Vet). Hive Scum could get Dual Laspistols for that Kal Jerico Cosplay.
I’ll have to admit I want an AdMech class (and it looks like it’s almost guaranteed. Guessing a reveal during Skulls in May). After I get my Tech-Priests/Tech-Adept/Enginseer my desire for new classes will be much minimized.

+1 to new maps, but at the very least modifiers for maps that make them feel refreshed. Think Inferno event where flamers were walking around burning stuff.
we needed maps before any careers. this game has an abysmal amount of maps when u factor in the reused assets plus the fact u dont get to see more than half of them on havoc IF u only play havoc. its a bad time
Cause there was Mortis, which most don’t count. (Had a total of 3 Mortis maps)
For sure, but it’s two fold.
If the weapons currently in game were all on equal footing and fun to use (subjective) there would be less wishing for newer weapons.
Ogryn really needs some variety though, I agree, but I’d even be happy if shovel was actually not just a worse pickaxe.
New Elite and Specs that buff nearby allies in interesting ways, make individual Elites more threatening so Spamtide can be toned down.
