As the title says please implement the following
- Allow the base stats of a weapon to be upgraded (Penetration, reload time, etc) using resources
- Replace the blessings and refinements on the weapon at any time
- Acquire blessings for weapons unlocking Tiers 1 → 4 via currency
- Make contract currency worth it by having it become another method of acquiring resources rather than RNG/garbage weapons
- Make the store sell base weapon models that start at an inferior quality but, the player as it states in #1 can upgrade them. Making the weapons from 1-29 not be actual garbage but, a continual progression path the player can take with any weapon.
- Reward currency + resources at the end of a match rather than RNG weapons
- Relics should also have upgrades to their base stats meaning +1% toughness/stamina/health rather than checking the store every hour.
Reasons?
- 1-29 weapons are pretty much garbage and the goal is to achieve 30 quickly so you’re not stuck with low tier weapons meaning you shouldn’t spend your resources on anything in those levels.
- There are 4 classes with arsenals up to ~80 weapons currently. Meaning that the time spent just trying to find the RNG god weapon in the gambling brunt’s/vendor/mission completion isn’t truly possible to do. This leaves a lot of possible weapon combos impossible to test and enjoy as there is no definitive path. Why would you trade a 530 weapon for a 485 unless it was broken?
- Blessings & Refinements being locked on a weapon based upon player choices leaves the current 80 weapons into something akin to holding several of the same variation of weapon for multiple different blessing builds base upon the talent choices for a character. Again, more RNG that shouldn’t be the case. L4D2 is a great example of being able to play at will with no issue regarding weapons beyond the player skill level. If you’re going to give progression paths for the player make it consistent and achievable. No one enjoys gambling just to get the correct gear.
- RNG blessings showing up and being unlucky with trying to get certain blessings for a weapon combo/talent build. Give players a progression path to unlock Tiers for the blessings rather than sacking a weapon and allow them to interchange for their playstyle. Not only does this help with elite players not getting what they want after 100s of hours of gametime but, it also provides casuals with meaningful progression that they can visually see happening rather than this lotto system.
