I’ve almost a thousand hours in this game and what remains one of the most annoying issues is players having to be told, sometimes in caps, to use the med kit or ammo pack they’re carrying. I have to imagine that a large percentage of these players simply forget they’re holding one, which is understandable considering how the UI is all the same color and how chaotic the action can get.
So I ask, please, add something that reminds folks that they’re carrying a medpack or ammo kit.
Even if the UI showed your carried deployable in a more distinct way, i honestly think that there is nothing you can do about people not using them properly.
People even forget about their grenades and their class ability.
And they always have those.
I agree. I think it’s a core issue with the UI itself. Having everything the same color in a game as chaotic as this makes it so easy to forget its there. A customizable HUD in that manner would be ideal, but I don’t even think a mod exists for that.
My stopgap solution is comms wheel for healing/ammo and pointed chat messages. YMMV…
