Blockquote
Why were you hoping for 3, though? If you are not getting bored playing 2, just keep at it
This. If you can’t defeat the previous difficulty consistently then why are you trying to do the next higher difficulty. Keep doing level 2 until you have a good understanding of mechanics and can clear it always, then progress on.
I don’t understand how you can ask for nerfs to a Malice(3) that is clearly outside your ability level if you can’t even consistently clear Uprising(2).
These games should be difficult, they always have required you to learn and hone your skills. So do so, try and dodge/block every enemy attack, get used to the range of weapons, and the attack speed. Listen for the audio cues of specials, or how to recognize elites. Once you have solidified that and have a decent amount of feats or whatever then you progress in difficulty.
edit: if you’re only level 12, take it slow. You still have pretty low end weapons and feats, 3 will feel a lot more manageable when your team is a higher level
Heavily depends on your level. At 15 I barely could tackle Malice. At 22 with a decent team it’s a breeze (though wipe can be an option). It’s not like VT1 where skills will carry you regardless of gear.
So trying to complete a tier 3 mission while level 12 is going to be hard, for sure! Gear score means a LOT in this game and you’re not going to see real changes in your damage until 15-18+
I totally understand working with random players does mean the coordination isn’t gonna be the same as working with a full team of friends.
Personally I say, stick with tier 1 or 2 until you level up a bit into that 15-18 range then head back into tier 3 to see if it feels different. If you’re still struggling, wait until level 20. That seems to be a common level for most players I’ve seen in tier 3. If you really want to make sure you’re prepared try to roll up a purple, or if you’re lucky buy one from weekly quest area or cross your fingers for an emprahs gift.
I still remember a day, like it was yesterday.
A glimpse of madness across my eyes, when my friend told me to try dark souls with him.
Oh “how spledid” I thought in my naivety, and how strong my innocence was destroyed when I died multiple of times at the begining.
To this day I remember, a wise words of my friend.
A words that I belive are an answer for most of our hardships.
Might be low hanging fruit, but it’s painfully true.
No idea how people can possibly be struggling with difficulty two, there are hardly any enemies.
Difficulty does not need to be lowered to adhere to your skill ceiling. There is a difficulty perfectly suited to your skill, if you are incapable of improvement.
Since you are a level 4 or 5 player, why care about the lower levels where you NEVER play? It’s like complaining about players that use controllers in FPS. None of your business.
Because players will never be capable of advancing to difficulty four or five without challenging themselves.
My brother used to complain all of the time that four was too difficult. Now he’s almost ready to take on five.
EDIT: Also, players who use controllers in FPS games get unfair advantages due to aim-assist. See every modern warfare video complaining about it, giving evident examples of the unfair advantage console players have over M&KB players.
I do not agree m8, you can stick to lvl 1 or 2 if you cannot or don’t want to handle more difficult runs. Why do you want it made easier if this is soemthing you probably play for 1-2 lvls (Threat 1) when you are new and maybe to lvl 10 if on more characters (Threat lv2). I believe these are very easy. So I am not sure if you actually find them difficult or you just want to level up and get credits faster.
If it is the latter I agree, especially if someone is playing multiple characters.
Progression is an issue, difficulty not rly, imho of course.
noice
As I thought - lvl 2 player might not understand this.
The thing is - if you want to improve yourself in basketball, math, or games like darktide you either git gut or you don’t.
Nothing should be made for everyone, so if you want to advance play and stop complaining about difficulities that can be beaten. You are not made to be good in everything from a start.
So there is more in “git gut” than just simple meme quote.
If difficulty 1 is where you and your friends are having fun - keep playing difficulty 1! : )
As you level up and get better gear you may find that difficulty 2 & 3 are more approachable.
Right now I’ve got level 30 characters with decent gear, and difficulty 1 and 2 really feel trivial. I’m having fun on difficulty 3 - and haven’t attempted 4 or 5 yet.
3 is great and where champion probably should have been at. Also in the current game’s lack of any power scaling relative to the ever increasing tankiness of enemies the balance feels more intentional. Brain burst actually picks.
I’d suggest testing out the weapons and finding something that hits hard like a XII Lasrifle and work on getting some decent Curios. Those should help a lot if you’re struggling without them. I didn’t make the jump to level 3 until I had a decent hitting Lasrifle as I didn’t want to feel like I was being carried with a peashooter and at this point when I finish a Heresy run I feel like, “that’s it?”
