Please fix your spawn system

What it is now is incredibly dull and disgusting.

what’s wrong about it?

is there less enemies than before or more enemies?

i’m pretty sure its about the amount of ranged enemies rather than the general amount of enemies.

I think its about the gunner to normal ranged mob ratio.

Personally i dont see anything wrong with it that could be fixed.
(but if it was up to me, i would never connect xbox and pc in the first place which is the whole reason mob count and elite/normal mob ratio is wacky).

If you reduce the amount of gunners to normal ranged ratio then things become too easy for damnation, and you cannot increase the number of mobs because xbox.

And if it is about ranged to melee ratio, then i see no problem. That ratio always seemed perfect for me.

yea seems perfect to me as well really
going ahead and making them use the melee it’s also a mechanic that is not often used because forgotten

If your game gets easier when the number of machine gunners decreases, then your game has serious problems.
They are too lazy to add a new type of enemy, they are too lazy to make the spawn system more diverse.
Spamming a player with one of the enemy types = sign your incompetence.

The clone attack in Star wars looks more diverse than some situations in this game. These are not all machine gunners, there are about 5 more on the right.

Auric having more Gunners than basic shooters is the peak game design.

Such are the norms of communications, especially on the internet these days, that I honestly have no idea what the OP is getting at.

Are you trying to say there too many enemies or too few?

Too many ranged enemies or too few?

Too many elites relative to non-elites?

Is the complaint because the identified situation is too difficulty to deal with or too hard? Or just frustrating?

I swear half the debates on the internet would be eliminated if people were clearer about what they were trying to say.

  1. Spawn of enemies is monotonous. The director does not have any well-thought-out system. It’s incredibly lazy and sloppy work.
  2. The game has turned into a dumb Call of Duty. The number of enemies who are trying to kill you with long-range weapons is noticeably greater than the number of enemies who are trying to kill you using melee.

That’s part of the design though. The over performing hitmass weapons need a weakness somewhere. Otherwise they dumpster the game. I could say the same about constant specialists, sort of takes the ‘special’ out of their name seeing one every corner or a mob of 4 tox flamers, but the current game design warrants either that or a scaling down of player power. Which I would prefer, but whatever I liked Darktide better when you didn’t have to fight mobs of bulwarks on top of each other and gunner swarms and everything else the current power creep spawned in order to make some gameplay for 4 players.

I think the biggest issue is that, in general, stuff just dies too fast even on the highest difficulties. You don’t need that much teamwork per se because a competent player on their own can quite literally cleave their way endlessly horde of enemies within the right kit.

Hordes offer very little resistance and aren’t even speed bumps. Even supposedly single target weapons with the right blessings are perfectly capably of managing hordes.

Specialists could probably use a toughness boost or something - as most of them can be 1-shotted or killed in less than a second.

I think the perks that give damage vs X armor type are probably way too strong as I think about. Taking damage vs flak and vs Maniac (for instance) are just such strong picks because they give +25% damage across the board, which is huge and totally out paces other perks for damage.

I think the balance on Damnation+ would feel a lot better/tougher and lead to more interesting gameplay moments if most mobs
We’re just tougher.

I totally agree about this…
But actually, FS is trying to buff everything
So, now they should buff enemies HP and damages…

What we can see here is probably a gunner patrol.

Patrols can spawn as mixed groups or only single type elite patrols, like gunners, bulwarks, crushers, maulers etc… This can lead to situations were there are a lot of gunners.

Ranged lesser enemies are much more common than their elite counterparts in general.

This happens in 90% of cases. Gunner is the most common type of enemy in the game, and the chance of his spawn is ten times higher than other types of enemies. Only a dumb would deny it and consider it normal, because it’s just boring. They are not able to create a diverse spawn of enemies if the images below are what the player sees in most cases.
