Please add true weapon customization and maybe psykana collar customization after the update

listen guys, everybody wants true weapon customization, we all know this, so why hasn’t it been added yet? i mean, modders can do it, why can’t a company with 180 employees add the ability to chuck a sight on an autogun or remove the flashlight? it would also delay needing to add more weapons to the game because the ones we have now would be customizable enough to let us use something that feels new and fresh while only having a piece of metal strapped to the front, hell, just make bash or the flashlight the default and make sights and special activations into unlockables via mastery, that’d work like a charm.

and for my second piece of feedback, i ask a question. why aren’t we able to customize psykana collars? why are we just stuck with the shirts anchor for it? why can’t we throw any that we own onto the anchor and enjoy the fashion? i don’t think that it’d be too easy to do, i get that, but why is it that it can’t be worked on little by little? i propose that it be worked on little by little every day (excluding days off clearly) until it is finished and once it is done, just surprise launch it and let it be a nice surprise for psyker players who want customizable psykana collars.

and now i’ll address general people and things that could be brought up.

the guard is in fact allowed to customize their weapons as long as they don’t damage or improve the weapon itself beyond what the infantry mans primer says is allowed. this means that they are allowed to put bayonets and new sights and even bipods on their grenade launchers but they are NOT allowed to port DOOM 1993 onto it or attempt to run Crysis on it as that would damage a holy weapon of the emperor/omnissaiah.

as far as i can tell, the psykana collar is not the thing connected to the clothes, that is the anchor, and while the anchor can act as a collar, the collar itself is more effective, even more so when connected to the anchor. and as far as i am able to tell, the anchor and the collar do not matter as long as they are connected to one another and the psyker to keep said psyker from going insane and summoning Lord Kaldor Draigo or a demon of (pick a chaos god).

i hope you all enjoyed reading this and i hope that these pieces of feedback get added to the game at some point, the true customization as the update after the train one preferably as it would be a good part 3/4 to this update group.

That was never the issue.

Not even something that Hedge had said about attachment (he did about crafting weapons, which they managed to make work with Brunt).

The issue is that games are different, it’s not a problem of size of the dev teams, it’s the engine (which here isn’t really the issue), and the balancing system.

Making attachments work is easy and worth doing when you have only guns, where they are using relatively all the same attachments.

But here, you have guns, sure, but also staves,and more importantly melee weapons.

The system would be uneven in the impact it would have, and create such a increase of work load to any weapon they would create.

i mean, the melee being left out wouldn’t really be an issue i don’t think, the staves on the other hand i feel like would have to have their own attachments somehow, one idea would be to just make them glow for a flashlight, the bayonets just being a piece of metal sticking out the top and just poke the enemies, and the other stuff would also be fairly easy to think of, thats really all you need to worry about i’d say.

Just surprising we haven’t seen where they can allow in the “appearance” tab the ability to add a sight or scope for the guns that would seem to be able to have them applied to.

Idealistically I would think they would be able to have a tab on the same page that you choose skins and dongla. Just an additional tab with a “Aiming Crosshair” icon that has that ability to select sights or scopes. Same for a separate tab for Torch/Flashlight or bayonet (although that category is challenging due to special button bound to either a “bash” or “torch”)

With coding and game mechanics, it seems like your ideas can be feasible. Even for myself, I am not asking for a full frankenmod of any weapon, just want to (at the minimum) select the sight or scope to be implemented (especially on Bolt Weapons), and maybe be able to have the torch/flashlight when needed, and then of course the bayonet/sarissa/melee attachment at most

honestly, i’m not even asking for that, i’m asking to be able to swap weapon special activations and add a sight that we choose so that we don’t need to use the irons and we don’t need to deal with not having a good weapon special activation (the flashlight sucks and should just be on the character at all times).
