No, i’m not gonna howl about how OP it is. Just because plasma gun is bad. Bad and inherently misrepresented.
It’s a tank-killing gun with many fire restrictions. It clearly was designed(Even in-game) to one-two shot everything that is not ogryn-sized enemy, and blast everything is can’t kill with light taps with charged shots.
And yet somehow it does worse job at killing crusher than recon lasgun, stub revolver of helbore lasgun. 2 shots to kill gunners withouf perks, 3-4 shots to kill mutants, 2-3 to kill ragers…
It’s just won’t go. And somehow it has infinite cleave which is not something plasma guns are famous for. Infinite cleave can be spared on for hellgun.
So basically plasma needs a bit of adjustment, to reduce its cleave (To pen 5 enemies MAX.) and pump the raw damage up to make it basically ranged thunder hammer because it whould be it.
Or, at least, we need a different plasma mark that will do something like this.
It is already unfair to its user. It can’t be more fair to everyone else. It’s just double standarts.
Being constantly outdamaged by every other weapon while fighting bosses while deazling with lond reload and overheat is too much for weapon that is only effective versus hordes on choke-points
This must be a joke, because plasma needs to hit weakspots to have somewhat playable breakpoints. While having the same breakpoints as infantry lasgun, while having all the disadvantages.
I agree with one thing. The weapon has too much cleave. It should be the choice for killing big, armoured targets, not let me shoot in the general direction of mixed horde and call it gaming.
Also yes, plasma is too safe to use. This was one iconic weapon I actually looked forward to since the first Darktide guard only trailer. I cannot really make myself to use it.
If such powerful weapon needs to have perks, blessings and talengs to oneshot such basic enemies as gunners and ragers - it’s a weak gun. Because these breakpoint are similar if not worse to lasgun’s.
I understand that most people here are probably some jealous zealots, but still
But you can hit your target through a bunch of trash that is standing in the way.
Or shoot a bunch of elites at once.
It is a trade off.
If it did not require at least a few perks/talents and some skill to hit heads, it would just be a weapon for stupid spammers that have absolutely no skill.
Or maybe they just know to value a weapon function that is useful for picking out targets on high density difficulties.
This “argument” can be applied to the comparison of any two weapons.
“The other weapon can do the same thing with just some extra hits.”
It is just not a meaningful statement.
It seems that there is no point in discussing with you, so i won’t cointinue trying to do so.
Have a good day.
