Pickpocket is still too strong for needle and melee scum

Can we consider Pickpocket was also an issue without Needle?

Yes Needle is the worst offender of Pickpocket abuse (which is why one of my solutions is basically changing the tree in a way rampage + pickpocket can’t be picked together, in this thread Solving Hive Scum tree ), and even without pickpocket it still does too much (I’d suggest a 25% max ammo reduction or something like that)

But at the end of the day Pickpocket without Needle was still a very considerable issue, like the difference from this video and this other video, in one I’m BARELY EVER meleeing, keeping my distance, just shooting stuff (especially funny considering it’s rotten armour in both), meanwhile in the other you see me try to squeeze some melee kills in my Desperado, or trying to get a specific enemy in melee so I can continue my pew pew chain

Honestly I’m mostly happy with Desperado gameplay. Is it still degenerate? Yeah basically but at least it is a nice change of playstyle while still forcing me to now work upon my drawbacks, which is nt that hard but it’s SOMETHING

All I take from your videos is that the new pickpocket is very easy to maintain if you use the healthbar mod.

Eh, if you watch the video you’ll realize most of my melee kills were on specials (that will die in 2 or less stabs to the head, except muties) and shotgunners (3 stabs if no uncanny strikes stacks)

Even with no healthbars it would be as viable going for melee kills on these targets

Watching these videos make me want to play Desperado in Havoc, but lately I’ve been only getting Blight Spreads or Rotten Armor missions, so for the 1.5 weeks I was stuck with stimm crate builds whenever I play Hive Scum in Havoc.

When you see the gameplay on this video I can barely keep Desperado up since Moebian 21st and Rotten are so tanky xddd

You’ll see a lot more success with Desperado once they probably reimplement rituals and red
