Penance - does Quitting a mission break a penance?

So I hear Spawning into a mid-game doesn’t count as penance.
Does Alt-F4 break a penance? Suppose you have a shtty team triggering DemonHosts for lulz

As for the demonhost, maybe they need monstrosities in which case a demon host is a perfectly viable target. If you have an Ogryn with a shield in the party then that trivialises the encounter as well.

If you’re talking about the games in a row without being downed (Flawless Execution), the chain breaks as soon as you are downed regardless. The penance is tracked per character though, you need to do it all on the same character. Not sure if being downed on one character affects a different character or not.

Will it break my penance, if I quit? (I don’t mean ‘downed’).
Or am I ‘locked-in’ as soon as the mission starts.

Quitting should be OK.

200+ missions later since trying(although I only wrote down/documented the last 63): Achieved Flawless(3) with Psyker/PUG.

  • I aborted 6-8 missions during that run because it spawned me into the Dropship or midgame.

I learned: certain missions(locations) have guarenteed ‘player-downs’, no matter how good/careful you are (if the RNG and PUG are against you)
