First Heresy run I did post patch gave 375 plasteel. Barely over 200 is the most I’ve seen before. Definitely think it’s a noticeable increase for Heresy as well (well around 50% from notes but who knows if the curve for actual drops changed as well).
While there are still plenty of things that need to be worked on, this is encouraging. Thank you for continuing to work on the game.
They did say they had gone through the maps and added/fixed item locations (somewhere in the very long patch notes), so the numbers may actually be real now, yeah!
It was a really bad feat in practice. They definitely could have come up with something more creative though.
Also Paul special attack stacks it for every enemy it staggers. Pretty juicy.
When even the devs use the exact same female face as everyone else
Good update, long overdue, i’m personally still waiting for a netcode update so that Heresy/Damnation isn’t a total input drop fest anymore
Thats kind of what i am getting from this new system as well, spent a good amount of dockets, most items were sub 320, only item above was a 364 which im still not going to spend materials on upgrading.
The RNG for getting a good base item to upgrade seems pretty bad, its just more RNG to facilitate further grind.
It was funny with the MK6, the full charge frame isn’t anywhere near as terrible as the rest and you could hit multiple ogryn enemies at once with a big swing.
And some good changes but the MK2 Lucius still has massive sway values from launch/the time the other Lucius models were buffed. And headshot hit reg is whack on a number of melee weapons.
Same here.
Spent 300k and got 3 good weapons (365-375)
Cool, 5 is on low side, but still good change.
Nothing about modifier quality? Ok, then. Probably something subpar then.
Nothing about scaleable weeklies, account wide weeklies at all?
I don’t know what you’re smoking, but these values a certainly not representative of what you could earn before the patch in-game resource wise.
Maybe that’s why your prices in shrine are so over the top.
This is such a early access change it is not even funny.
Overall 2/7 rimjob for me due to lateness.
I keep getting 410-420 purple weapons from emperor’s gift. Wasn’t the point of the patch so you can get actually usable items from it ? And that’s on damnation.
to be fair, you can now dump more dockets in the new shop and rerolling melk challenges.
All we needed was indeed more RNG…
I do believe the point of the patch was to make it look like they were fixing RNG, while in fact doing nothing of the sort.
I will say notes so far:
-it’s nice to actually have some semblance of item control and be able to actually try out / work towards a build. Being able to mess with various perk interactions beyond just on paper which is great.
-Pleasantly surprised that both gaining blessings doesn’t cost resources and that they aren’t locked to character, this really reduces the frustration by a lot compared to what it could have been. Tbh I would like it even more if less was siloed but it’s a start.
-cost wise it doesn’t seem too unreasonable. Reblessing several times is basically a single run of any difficulty. This combined with more resources on damnation is nice although I still would like a scrap weapon button for extra items. Even then I would still just like to remove siloing altogether
-Still nothing to really help curios, still kind of a pain to work with.
-still not super thrilled with the re-roll button on perks, just give us a button for selecting what we want a top tier when we put the resources in.
-On top of Sire Malk’s not being anywhere near as awful contract wise the rewards are actually pretty good now, I’m consistently seeing T4 and T3 rolls on items that don’t actually have awful stat distributions and while not 370/380 perfect rolls I’m seeing a lot more useful blessing combos. Curios are still kinda bad though and would rather remove points siloing.
-for the above I feel like I would still need to play for a week or two to see if it’s a change that has impact and not just random fluke lucky rolls.
-for the armoury the rolls are very meh in nature. For something like a bolt gun it’s fine because it doesn’t take a ton to get a great bolt gun going but for items a lot more stat sensitive it feels like the rolls are super low and the system kinda misses the point of “get a really powerful gray and upgrade from scratch.
-emperors gifts dropping after every game is very welcome especially with how a large complaint was overall rate of gear gain.
There is more that I would need to mess with and get a feel for but overall I’m a bit more positive about this update than I thought I was going to be.
This is how you start fixing the game. Good stuff!
“There are a lot of combinations to test and tune so please keep the feedback coming and we’ll keep the full Blessing configuration of each weapon as part of our patch rotation in the future.”
That’s going to be hard to do with locks.
Well its definitely a lot more than i expected from this patch. Overall impressions will have to wait until i get to try it but solid 8 from effort at the very least.
I guess it’s a small step in the right direction…
“Please experiment with different weapon builds and combinations so we can collect data, while we make its as tedious as possible to experiment with different weapon builds and combinations”
But to be fair, there is good changes in this patch, its just that none of it seems to have affected the shop and crafting systems.
