Y’all knocked it out of the park here. Virtually every common complaint people had is dealt with.
Weapon bases: now upgradeable and the costs aren’t that bad - a few weekend damnation runs are enough for me to boost my inventory up to peak and you no longer need to juggle weapons that might get bricked.
Melk: Now selling, at least to me, nearly exclusively maxed-out weapons as he should have at launch. Exactly what a newer player would need to skip the grind. For an established guy, mostly just a shortcut for new weapons imo, but that’s fine. That’s what he should’ve been tbh.
Weapons and blessings: now completely interchangeable. Needs some balance work, but overall far better now that you can swap them mostly freely and pick which ones to unlock first. Blessing point mechanic is mildly annoying but an understandable thing and new players will probably have more fun with it than I am since they will have the whole field open.
This has addressed most of the complaints, reduced the RNG to a vestigial annoyance, and given us a lot more ground to experiment and a lot more room for the devs to balance (nobody gets mad if the locks are on blessings that change since any player can just swap them around to try out the new meta and there are no locks).
My only real issue is that it took this long.
Removing the Itemization and RNG grudge, it’s dead as a doornail after this.
