I see the Arbitor has loads of toughness and alot of regen towards it, maybe make the others having something that they focus on as well
Zealot = Zealot Fervor, an extra bar that gives temporary hp’s (so it does not effect the martyrdom) for each hits/kills it gives an small amout
Psyker = Personal psykick shield, an extra toughness bar that increases as you do psykick damage and kills
Ogryn = Ogryn resilience, gives health regen with kills and blocks…
i know i dont have any information for the Veteran, since i could not find anything that would suit for him
… Or Fatshark could nerf Arbitrator, Ogryn and Psyker while reworking Veteran and Zealot.
though i got to admit it takes balls to go the approach:
“oh sheet oh sheet, my water pipe’s broke what do i do?
heck i flood the other rooms too so they’re even”
Making Ogryn even more survivable would certainly be a choice.
Players Think Arbites is OP… Will Fatshark Nerf Them?
he might be up to something: elevate all classes to ogryn / arbites power so no one whines about nerfs, but introduce more powerful enemies to compensate.
One can’t make an omelette without breaking eggs.
Fatshark must nerf Player power, otherwise they’ll never break the cycle of powercreep. The Enemy AI Director throws spam tantrums because Enemies can’t be threatening enough as individuals, at least not while Players are this strong. It’s rotting the game to its very core foundations and must be rooted out.
if every class had arbites survivability, you’d call for every class to be able to do psyker’s damage, then psyker would be lacking in something, and you’d call for it to be buffed and so on and so on
Vet could have the op from CS that can one shot all enemies with infinite cleave. From what I understand that’s what kids understand as fun nowadays, because it’s a PvE game and everyone knows you should only buff in PvE games to the point of trivializing the game.
Well what do we want to balance them around. Already different in performance from Havoc to normal Matches. Or how an skilled Player can make Psyker not give a crap about being a Glass-Cannon, pump out a Gorillion Damage while not being hit once in a Havoc 40 while the average Player dies with Ogryn in a Damnation Match.
For Zealot even if they don’t buff him but just replace some Nodes / remove Taxnodes hes bound to be the most powerful imo or with Psyker if you can actually make a Build with Souldrinker would alrdy be a good chunk more survivable / powerful (but not sure; haven’t played Psyker that much but the Node does look rly good but just inaccesible due to its placement)
Or may be people who play Arbite could just go back to the difficulty that suites them post-nerf - and which they could only rise from by buying unbalanced class? I mean, level of challenge is relative, numbers are pointless, if you can go down a level and have fun again - what’s the problem? Definitely a better solution than adding more powercreep to the base game.
It’s kinda the point, especially if it happens in Havoc which is a mode for skilled players to shine in. It’s not even close to the level of an issue Arbites cause, making every Average Joe 30-50% more powerful by just playing the same way they have always been playing.
I think Ogryn is more busted than Arbites and a skilled Player can make Psyker / Zealot shine more than Arbites. Arbites however is really easy to play / low Skill-Floor to be good at and the Shock Maul / Shield / Shotgun are…maybe kinda busted…but they do drop off a bit in higher Havocs with all the Debuffs and Enemy Buffs.
Tbh even tho i cleared Havoc 40 multiple times and mostly play Auric / MS i actually would consider playing lower difficulties if it wouldn’t also mean way less Enemies / Bosses just so i can spam my Veteran Recon Lasgun into everything
Yes Arbites has a lower Skill Floor than Vet/Zel/Psyker but for an experienced Player it doesn’t matter how high/low the Skill Floor is (Ogryns still lower in my humble opinion) and in higher havocs arbites isn’t even wanted rly because the base classes still got more needed / better abilities with VoC on Vet, Chorus for Zealot, Dome for Psyker and Ogryn cause Ogryn
And FS did say they are already working on a Rework for at least Zealot and even if they don’t buff him but just remove tax nodes / replace some Nodes hes definitely going to be the strongest Class.
Imo a better approach would be to Rework Vet/Zel/Psyker (Buffing or not but the Trees definitely need to be Reworked in their Design) but then give us either an higher base difficulty for mission board or more auric missions with more modifiers. in higher havocs arbites isn’t that great / stronger / desired than other classes (VoC, Chorus, Dome, Taunt)
And like an skilled psyker player and if you watch some videos where an psyker player pumps out a billion DMG and not being hit once making the whole point of him being glass cannon kinda redundant might say psyker needs nerf, needs to be even less survivable or deal less DMG and what not but thats not representative for the majority of playerbase, imo just means those players need some higher difficulties / modifiers to challenge them
