My Tier List of The Classes

After 3-years & 4k hours later since beta, here’s my updated thoughts about how each class ranks, in my opinion. Take this with a heavy grain of salt, please & don’t get offended. Do you agree, disagree? I’d love to read your thoughts. I’m trying my best to take my personal feelings out of it, as I don’t main any class keep that in mind. I have well above 800-1400 levels on each class, except for Arby of course, obviously. But I feel comfortable enough to give my opinion. Obviously, it really all depends on who is operating the class, that’s what makes it amazing or not, of course, I’m just generalizing for the most part. I’m really just basing this off of personal experience & abilities, plus any difficulty, so far. It’s been a fun ride.

i get marketing wise making a new class appealing, but with arbites they went not only overboard but threw the whole crew after it for good measures

and while i truly enjoy the honey moon phase and accept the op-ness for a little longer, i hope despite being the new poster boy, they’ll reign him in not too far in the future.

unless we want it to settle like the dueling sword and other stuff people take for granted after some time.

Of course! If that sword was taken out of the picture. This list would be very different lol.

Bubble Purg Psyker with (still not fixed) Perilous Combustion is game destroying and Zealot doesn’t really have anything as obnoxious as Rumbler. Flamer is broken but Rumbler is even worse.

For sure… I’m basing this off of what most players can really do with the class. There’re some very talented Pskyers out there 100%. But most people suck with it. He does have some of the strongest builds of course. But it’s more of a one-trick-pony niche really. Zealot can Chorus on demand if you’re good with cooldown. That’s game-breaking right there. You can keep on pausing the game & give gold toughness with no down-falls.

the irony of zealot living and dying by the sword

dude should have two broken bottles, swinging hobo mode and screaming for the emprah at the top of his lungs

this, you can have the best rifle in the world, in the hands of untrained civilians you aint gonna win no wars.

top 1% is gonna outperform based on skill, the rest relies on numbers.

shouldnt come as a surprise most of the arbites i encountered in my auric maelstrom sessions werent using the class to a 1/3 of its potential.

hey, i’m one of the “responsible users” since my oggy isnt doing “blo” or other shenanigans

its a nice reaper oneshotter and boss bleeder, other than that i like it up close and personal :+1:

Arbites is strong, but I don’t think he’s stronger than current Ogryn tbh.

I’m offended you asked me not to get offended.

I agree with the tier list.

Have you tested all the abilities? They’re some of the strongest that I’ve seen, plus the dog plays the game for you. You can wipeout bosses in seconds with certain builds & spam the shock mines.

more versatily and lets you get away with much sloppier gameplay, both in terms of toughness regen and dodging disablers/getting dog off you for free.

confident strike is nothing compared to the castri-something and the nodes back to back giving you regen while sneezing

I was actually debating putting Ogryn in broken Tier, but I wouldn’t argue if somebody said this to me.

oggy still has the potential to deal equal damage, but right now arbites lets him do it while constantly pushing forward, snacking away anything in his path.

only thing that reminds me i’m too far ahead is a net through 30 poxers, other than that i dont look behind me when i tunnel vision for da lex

ogryn at least has that set pacing where every disabler is a potential roadblock or time on the bench, time others spend killing your potential killfeed

character wise i prefer my ogryn, but in 2 years i havent had the freedom to play this fast, this effective and still keep toughness until netted in 95% of the situations.

feels like i strapped a brain damaged vet on my ogryn back who only has VOC in his means of communication

Yes.

I’ve seen plenty of bad Arbites players die doing something dumb, but I’ve also seen bad Ogryn players pull dumb moves and somehow still come out winning, unless they get disabled.

But well that’s just my POV, maybe it’ll change.
Not that I’m saying Arbites doesn’t need some adjustment though, but it’s hard to pinpoint the problem when he have humongous amount of buffs to stack. Skullcrusher is probably part of them.

Ogryn & Vet are still my favorite, personally & yeah, you’re right… Disablers are really the only weakness Ogryn has as his kryptonite, besides maybe gunners, but that’s only if you’re stupid & out in the open lol. I wanted to put Vet higher, but since new Havoc he doesn’t do as well as before damage-wise because of inflated health pools. But if you’re really good at shooting, he’s obviously higher on the list because of VOC/nade spam of course. But with playing with a lot of Vet players in new Havoc, they’re dead most of the time sadly. It was really strange one of the best Vet players I’ve been with was playing on console it blew my mind. He was scary good with a controller which was wild.

Yeah, seeing that might have put a bad taste in your mouth. I’ve had no issues thus far. I feel that you just need to get use to it. It’s very strong, trust me. Although, Fatshark is very slow at getting around to things. I feel that Arby probably will get nerfed later on in time possibly.

S: Arbite / Ogryn
A: (but situationally S): Zealot / Psyker
B: Vet

Zealot is still going to be the best solo-ist for almost everything, dueling sword nerfs just mean knife is back. Its certainly not in a great spot in terms of diversity, but it has access to some great weapons and performs its job reasonably well.

Psyker is another class doing solo Havoc ect, its got a very high skill ceiling for such things, but I think as a general sentiment its support value with dome, smite, ect is super undervalued and I would almost consider Psyker S tier. I think its still pretty easy to outperform Arbites in sheer numbers if you want, while offering much more team support. This may just be a product of new arbites players, but time will tell.

I would put Psyker S Tier, but like I said it’s super rare to even get decent people playing the class. I’ve literally only ran into a handful a people who were really great at it. My list is more of a generalization, but I totally get what you mean for sure. Either their dead the entire match or get downed a million times. More of a glass cannon.

Pretty much my ranking. Ogryn and Arbitrator need to be turned down a smidge numbers wise. Zealot and Psyker need their trees reworked so that they can pick blitzes with more freedom. Veteran just needs a ton of love in general. Two ults could use an overhaul or combining the tax nodes to make them not such a massive investment, more ways to produce toughness, doing away with its abyssal baseline stamina regen off the top of my head.

Genuinely, someone make sense to me as to why the trained soldier moves like molasses next to some geek with psychic powers and an untrained homeless guy.

I guess my TL;DR is abrite is great but I don’t think anything but castigator is breaking the game, and im of the mindset that the shield bash no dog build is superior for teamplay anyway.

If Castigator got some tweaks to be less like a functional divine shield, I think the class would be perfect, or close to it. Its still perhaps a bit too early to tell.

There’s two more things, is that the Boltgun with Castigator can melt bosses in seconds as well, he’s the strongest boss killing machine. Plus, you can spam shock mines which is basically mini smite for 15 seconds. It’s too OP. I still think he’s the strongest class in the game atm. I’m still testing more builds, but in my best judgment he’s the strongest.
