Players should be able to host missions with the grimoires removed.
As it is right now, a player who hosts their own game and doesn’t want grimoires picked up for various reasons has no power to enforce it.
Grimoires cannot be disabled.
Lobbies cannot be named to hint that it’s a ‘no grim’ run.
Votekick system protects the griefers that pick up the grimoires despite the pleads.
All it takes is for another person to vote “No” and the game host is rendered powerless and their game is ruined.
People who don’t wish to play with grimoires really have only two options:
a) Rush ahead of the team and often take detours just to reach the grimoire first and immediately throw it away
b) Use friendly fire to kill the stubborn grim bearer (twice if they don’t have a wound), wasting time, ammo and potentially health if they shoot back, creating a very toxic atmosphere
Update:
I came up with another idea - could have an option for each individual player to disable the effects of grimoires - so you can decide that you don’t get curse debuff, but also don’t benefit from the loot boost at the end of the mission.
