Is the summer break at Fatshark over?
i just wanna know that cuz iâm wondering if people are progressing right now or if weâre all still complaining at the summer skeleton crew.

Hey they got me to take a vacation from this game. Used to play everyday, been weeks since. Between broken stuff the constant crashing if I switch characters and lack of arbites earnable clothing options. Meh
Today they released a video for new VT2 content. Theyâre back but they still donât care about their DT playerbase.

nah its because they have another paid weapon pack for VT2 planned. I assume the next paid class will be after that in Darktide and then maybe we can get that Veteran weapon. maybe we can get it faster if we pay for it? 
Imperial Commissar class coming to revolutionize havoc 40 power creep with waves of guardsmen, artillery bombardment and airstrikes. if you somehow go down you can use his third ultimate (gotta have more than just tree + dog bomb this is 2026 power creep) to strike the planet from orbit.
Oh no, a company is releasing free content, not out of the goodness of their corporate hearts but to ultimately make money! How detestable!

Weâre talking about two separate things. Free content for an older game and paid content for an older gameâŚneither of these things are bad things. And unless you can provide some kind of evidence that they actually hurt DT in some way, I have a very hard time believing a weapon pack coming out (next year iirc) and a time-limited event are holding up content for their more popular, newer game.
Youâre operating under the delusion that any labor force divided between 2 projects can put 100% into both. That fallacy has never been true ever and it isnât the case here. You do not have the capital to allocate. Proof is in the pudding. Abysmal post content calender they had to revamp. Version control non existent causing bugs to reappear months later. Quality control so good they donât even notice Windows 10 + AMD caused a CTD at the boot screen. Etc etc.
And yeah I will shade Vermintide for having somewhere around $120 CAD in DLC, regardless of it being an 8 year old game by this point. That is not exactly âfree updates by loving devsâ is it? Especially considering the free updates were just VT1 maps ported (strange since they spent most of the first 3 years telling us this was a next to impossible Herculean task). Probably because Wizards Tower was absent from the Ubersreik DLC which is one of their largest blunders ever.
You seem to be operating under some pretty core misunderstandings about software development, project management, business and just human beings.
Thousands of people play VT2 every day. Itâs pretty cool that FS is releasing any content for it (paid or free) with the much more popular DT out now.
Your wiggling into balance gripes (âaerial bombardments lolâ) and complaints that DLC from years ago is still purchasable only reveals that youâre just here to mope. Or do you really think itâs bad that VT2 is still being supportedâŚand do you actually have some kind of evidence that DT is suffering because of it? Because the fact is, plenty of companies support multiple products allllll the time.
and youâre on 100% cope like usual unable to read a room. You walk into YET ANOTHER thread of people saying âis Fat Shark even aliveâ and say âWELL WE SHOULD ALL BE SO GRATEFUL THAT THEY UPDATED THEIR OTHER GAME!â as if VT2 wasnât also without updates for like 10 months prior to that point. Is this supposed to be an acceptable state for either game we cheer for? Alright, I guess Iâm just miserable for the sake of being miserable. Fat Shark is the best guys! We need to thank ourselves every day we get to play a game as brilliant as this!

The devs are people. Pretty core part of my whole thing.
yeah and like all other people bad things happen when there is no holding to account. feelings are secondary to function, and should be or you get decay. but you seem to have made that your core identity so I donât think we have anything to discuss. mediocrity is a celebrated achievement of uniqueness, I get it now.
