Its a shame ogryns did not get new weapons a whole bunch of time. And its absolutely disgraceful you did not add some for them with every DLC.
While kids next door add new weapon variants with every update to their project, we get nothing here.
Ogryns need some new right now:
Ogryns need a power maul with a brute shield (buckler), you easily could find some miniatures with them.
And you could add a special option to this set, say some parry option with crushing throw down at success.
This set exists 10 years in WH40K universe, why it’s not in a game yet?
Ogryns have strong fists, right?
Why you still did not add an option to beat all ugly ppl with them?
Big guys need brass knuckles or some kind.
This would be a “dual wielding” weapon - ogryn boxing technic: jabs, hooks, uppers - all of them could be part of complex combo actions.
Ppl here already asked some of this kind a pair of year ago.
Ogryns need a really new range weapon. Do not tell about regular heavy stubber - its just an expanse of twin-linked variant (more damage, less firerate)
It’s not a new.
Some ppl already asked about autocannon - it’s a way. Just balance this with an ammo.
That one is a no-brainer that they’re just sleeping on. It would be unique and just awesome to use. Imagine doing a heavy attack with thrust blessing where he puts all his strength into one punch to the face.
As for a ranged weapon, I would so desperately want something faster that’s more focused to quickly take out single specials with fast reload, like an Ogryn sized sawed off shotgun.
The works already been done even! Just needs some animation work to iron out the jank.
I’m also working on a buckler style hyper-aggressive shield mark at the moment, where the special is a parry that blocks everything for reduced cost and retaliates with a push, and the idea is that it’ll be a combo weapon that’s all about getting in enemy faces and weaving the special in between attacks to keep yourself safe.
I would love if PBB just got turned into a gun. Either something the Ogryn places that can be used by anyone until it runs out of ammo, or just a Heavy Stubber.
how about a dragons breath / fleshette mark for the kickback?
how about a rumbler mark thats all stickies (no blessing requjired)
even simple things like that along with the spiked knuckles THAT ARE ON MY FRAME I GOT FROM ONE OF THEIR COOLER EVENTS! Dual fisted spiked knucks with the right combos would be the GOAT
the twin-links are already crazy powerful if you can feed it ammo but I don’t think him getting some crazy powerful crew served like cannon would be a good idea at all
look, there is no any new content: any maps, any weapons, any QoL, any cosmetics after all.
So, what ar we wainting for?
Did they introduce some kind of a roadmap?
nope, nope, nope.
So i’m absoluty sure whole FS dev office try to catch a fly every day. Exclude some punished guy making fourth DLC class.
Your bulletpoints were the exact things I envisioned it would address aswell. I didn’t have much hope of reaching any support, so I just threw out the idea and walked away without explaining.. Thank you for “getting it” and explaining it for me.
I’ll add one more bulletpoint then; It would give Gunlugger a unique niche in the world of ranged builds. As in, Veteran is the long-range sniper, Hive Scum is the close-range pistoleer, and Ogryn is the heavy machinegun guy who mows down a corridor on occasion. The reason I suggested it could be placed is so anyone can enjoy it, because it’s not fun when a ranged player kills everything, and it would also have a mobility limit if its stationary. A placeable would make Ogryn increase the team’s defense in an area, generating space by killing things instead of taunting/staggering.
I also like the idea that the team “brought an Ogryn to carry a big Stubber for us”.
Well, I did it, and it’s quite fun. Needs some numbers tuning (I’m pretty sure I got the damage pretty close to right but it’s probably got too much stagger and doesn’t pay enough stamina on the parry), but the core of the playstyle is a blast and it feels really good.
