Ogryn grenades

I’m a bit confused by something (yes yes quite normal I know) but sometimes on a mission I have 3 giant ogryn grenades and sometimes I have 1. I can’t work out what’s causing the difference. Is it to do with a team members perk or something? I’d like to find the games that grant me 3 grenades!

People should really read the mission card when playing maelstrom missions.

Some have the “enhanced blitz” modifier.

I’ve seen enhanced blitz on the mission cards but had no idea what that actually meant.

Maelstrom modifier, also yeah…ogryn frag bomb should always stay at one. It is OP as f…as it is.

Well it’s just 1 grenade. It’s all over within a couple of seconds then the screen is flooded with enemies again. Even if you use 3 in a row then you’re back at hacking and slashing seconds later.

Anything as occasional as a grenade shouldn’t be a concern.

Stuff isn’t op just because it doesn’t require 10 minutes of grind :joy:

whats funny is the modifier is +2 blitz action instead of applying some kind of even 50% rounded up boost. so you can have 1 less nuke than you would have grenade boxes.

Oh nooo. Imagine people having fun with a modifier once in a while.

I think it’s the type of fun thats so circumstantial and specific that it’s ok to have. Sort of like how the 20% ability CDR modifier totally breaks some skills if you’re already invested in CDR.

Certain Maelstrom modifers will have the enhanced blitz tag, which gives players an extra +2 capacity for grenades I believe.

Our definition of fun differs. This is why I love living in a civic society. As all members Flawless you have the right to opinion, and being wrong.

in quite a lot of I II V E G’s i never had the boom trio trivialize a match.

same cant be said for vet plasma gun for example or other team configurations.

worst thing to happen is a smooth match under 25 minutes, so i really don’t see the problem here.

usually i use 'em or lose 'em and director has a way so far to spawn the largest fustercluck right after the last grenade went up.

apart from a lesser chaos spawn bosses arent affected either, plague ogryn shrugs them off and nurgle snail has his weakspot facing away from the blast radius.

speaking of which, even tiny obstacles seem to block a large cone of the blast, so a little slope or a few steps down the stairs, enemies tend to be unscathed.

the few times ogryn has a party is well deserved in my eyes.
