Harder on ogryn fwiw, and especially when it curves through solid objects. Not saying it happens all the time but it can lead to frustration when you’re the last ogryn standing.
You mean that stuff that keeps getting nerfed ?
Just keep in mind the slide eating another dodge count as @brosgw mentioned, that can cause issues.
That Stationary Dodge settings and unbinding the stupid default double bound space bar and setting it to Shift was key (pun) for me.
If you see someone hopping around (and dying) it means they ran out of effective dodges and the double bind makes them jump instead because of the timing. This is much worse on xbox 'cause I don’t think they can change it.
you dont dodge hounds you block push them… and your push range is uuuuuge as ogryn
tbh since i came back seems to me they have made the dogs too easy to push. Thats counter balanced by the fact the AUDIO QUES ARE NOT WORKING FATSHARK!
What? Dogs can be dodged? I always thought that was impossible…
(Do you guys remember how Dogs and Mutants were at launch? Yeah, that’s why I think that way…)
I guess you understand that what you are suggesting WILL make an Ogryn into the Steam Tank
(that will be a lot of fun )
If you think about it, no disabler can actually disable an Ogryn, like how the hell the Trapper actually pulls the guy, he weighs a ton(sometimes more), literally.
And the dogs, there is no way this animal is able to pin the Ogryn to the floor!
Mutants? No way, imagine him carrying a car while sprinting, that is ridiculous.
The point is, Ogryn is strong, like REALLY strong, one of them killed Ork Warboss with a headbutt, also the Chimaera story, yeah…
While in lore they balance it out by being silly billy - here they are controlled by the player, that is why they had to be nerfed, to keep the game fun and engaging!
tbh, doggos shouldn’t be pinning an ogryn down to start with. giant slab of muscle should just throw them off. Pretty sure an Ogryn is capable of lifting the weight of the poxhounds, nor should they be able to break past a slab shield, still trying to figure out fatsharks logic with that one, the doggo magically passes through the shield or something?
Ogryns, imho, should be bad at dodging. You’re 3 metres tall and over a (metric) tonne in weight. You ain’t shifting quick. But you’ve almost infinite stamina, so do a block.
Different avatars doing different things differently is a double for me.
Mantling is a crappy character-size box issue that’s long overdue a fix. And yes, irritating. But also smaller characters often snag on railings, so that’s on the long term hit list one hopes.
This would hold water if you have the power of an Ogyrn, but for gameplay balance purposes you’re no stronger than other any reject. Honestly I still think shoehorning them in was a mistake.
Yeah but ogryn has the highest sprint costs and mostly bad push attacks (man can they fix the Mk3 shovel/Mk5 one I might have to make my own profile picture for that one…) and you can already revive teammates and even move around while doing it without stamina. Making it possibly at the lowest value its ever been. If I don’t choose to catch a couple bullets in my fat hide for stamina back I’m waiting for massive chunks of my bar to slowly restore since I was trying to keep up with the runts.
Zealot’s unique 50% faster stamina regen speed and only 1 less base stamina than ogryn is way better for going literally everywhere without ever running stamina on curios or perks imo. By a mile.
When they overhauled the shovel sweep attacks to hit 6 enemies, they never did this for the push attack. So despite having the same hitmass and first target damage as your relentless light attacks, it only has 3 enemies hit for damage in total. And the 2nd and 3rd enemies take around the same damage enemies 5 and 6 take with a relentless swing. Making it a move to be avoided, which is absolute fart considering how perfect brute 3 shovel is in every other way. If this move was fixed the best horde combo would become push attack light light (3 relentless swings in a row + you put skullcrusher on a group of enemies from the push).
i don’t think it’s hard to dodge trappers, but maybe since the ogryn hitbox is bigger compared to humans, it is easier to get stuck between enemies and not having enough room to dodge the net. sometimes it actually happen to humans when poxwalkers bodyblock you
