Just when I thought you finally started to listen to feedback with the necessary nerfs, you blindside me with this new abomination.

Scoreboard in a co-op game. You really gave in to the competitive junkies and made it official. You have forgotten every lesson from the previous Vermintides, about player decorum and how it goes to zero when scoreboards and green circles get involved.

Not only that, you also prove yet again, that you don’t really understand what makes your game work, and how arbitrary numbers are irrelevant in the chaotic combat of Tides, which has almost infinite variables, and that stupid numbers will NEVER be able to accurately reflect the value or contribution of a player.

Now every dumb argument about why weapon X sucks, or player A is a “fooking noob”, will be followed by a scoreboard screenshot, and because it is now official, it will be perceived as indisputable proof by the clueless competitive majority.

Every toxic mouthbreather will now have your endorsement, they will put down others by using your officially sanctioned scoreboard. It is now part of the game, part of your build, and the only tangible measurement if you are a good player.

First your constant apathy towards the few cheat mods that circulate in the community unhindered for years, then your reluctance to nerf the overpowered things that took the challenge out of the game completely for over 2 years, and now this.

You have lost me forever. I’m done with your games. I wish I could travel back to November 2022, and warn my stupid self to not invest so much time and money, in a game that pretended to be co-op, but ended up being a playground for cheaters, meta slaves and competitive junkies.

The Fatshark scoreboard only shows your damage relative to the team; it doesn’t give information on the other players with any specificity.

So…it sort of negates the whole idea of ‘omg player 3 was useless dogpile that guy, karking n00b’ argument from the get go.

Which you would know and could see if you took a moment to look at it before making such a kneejerk post.

You can’t even see your teammates stats with this, it’s only yours and then the entire team together

And the modded one was only a lie? Why the credibility of the modded scoreboard was doubted before? lol

Look, if you can get screenshots of a-holes posting their damage in chat at the end of a mission and trying to dunk on everybody else, you might have a leg to stand on.

But in the meantime, nobody wants to hear this kind of complaining. This is a good mod-less way to estimate your build’s efficacy.

Ah I see, it includes overkill so the numbers are whacky and inflated.

I remember when Fatshark said they would consider it if they found a way to encourage team play with the scoreboard rather that the opposite. I guess that Kills first and Time in Coherency last shows what the reality turned out to be.

since the very first day of the mod existing it must be about 1500 matches i recorded.
three times at best some “fooking noob” was failing hard AND mouthing off about his delusion of his contribution and in turn shut up by cold hard facts.

every other time one laughed in discord at the stuff randoms are able to pull off nothing besides a gg was mentioned at the end… not a single breath else wasted

you give them too much credit they just copied popular mods, one of their screenshots literally shows a scoreboard mod active
i’m not bothered by it because the mods are alright but they clearly just copied, the design thought you mentioned was likely not even made

Absolutely disagree. And you dont even see other poeple score so whats the drama about? It was high time we got an official scoreboard. Toxic poeple had mods installed before and would be toxic anyway so really this is tottaly delusional

We have known how well or bad you have been doing in DT since forever, in FAR higher level of detail, thanks to mods. So what’s the problem? In my 1000s of hours in the game, I ran into someone ever bringing up the scoreboard in toxic manner ONCE. He was laughed out of the lobby.

The only problem with the official scoreboard is that it doesn’t show important stats like damage by type (there should be melee, range, blitz, bleed, toxin, soulblaze etc), kills by enemy type (trash, melee elites, range elites, specials), boss damage, one shot kills, and highest damage made with one hit…oh look at that!

One of the most common questions/comments in any DT-related site is regarding the lack of information regarding uptimes, damage, stats, and debuff effects.

One of the questions in my own Discord right now as I’m typing this is someone asking me if the Ogryn Push+Brittle procs regardless of stagger. And the reason they ask that is

  1. They can’t see the debuff icons when trying to test themselves on console in Psykhanium (and can’t mod to get Health Bars or Enemies Improved), and
  2. They aren’t aware of Kuli and the fact they have to learn the vast majority of the fine print via a Steam Guide.

Yes, scoreboards will always prompt some toxic, and insecure person. But they are the minority.

The vast majority of the player base wants this type of basic information. The fact I can just mod and freely turn things on and off to test is great and all, but not everyone can or wants to do that. Nor should they have to.

I actually hate how much of this game is learned… well not in game or native to the game. So the fact FS is finally trying to put some semblance of this information into the game should be praised.

It has already changed how people are playing the game(not for the better) and the toxicity on the Steam discussions is off the charts. People are actually threatening physical harm on people that dont want the Scoreboard.

This is what you gave us Fatshark. After 3+ years of saying its bad for the game, you sold us out and put that abomination in the game.

This is on you.
