I have some potentially bad news if you don’t like tweaking settings.
This likely isn’t a driver issue.

Messing with settings and some performance mods is the only thing that has consistently helped, regardless of driver. Yes, I’m on nvidia too, 4080.

Best advice I can offer is to start tweaking, if that’s your thing:

Well the thing is is when I downgrade to version 570 this issue goes away. So im not sure why it wouldn’t be a driver issue you get what I mean?

Ill try performance tweaks later.

I’m no GPU guru, so fair enough question. I’m on 577 now after staying on a pre-570 for a long time due to this game.
I’m just pretty sure I only ever felt like I fixed performance after tweaking settings. It’s usually engine optimization or servers with this game, I think.
Drivers never were the difference for me, unless it was a known unstable version making things worse in more than just DT.
Best of luck.

A driver can only get you so far. From my testing and experience. This game’s asset loading is basically tied to framerate, not time. So something that works fine at 30 or 60fps, falls apart when you are at higher FPS because you are loading in 2-4x the assets at once, causing stutters.

TL;DR you have to optimise your game based on your expected framerate YOURSELF.

Hope this helps

Simillar issue here. FPS is abysmal and makes HAVOC unplayable. Tried literally every “fix” I could find but nothing seems to help. No way should a 4070TI Super be dopping to 40fps and below. I jumped back in at the start of the Arbities update any everything was working fine. Really sucks since I was enjoying the HAVOC climb.

Same on 4080 Super. Noticeable stutter, where previously it was smooth sailing.

Wtf is this NVIDIA? The GPU prices are going through the roof yet quality of drivers is reaching AMD level of fail. I’m going back to 566 myself.

P.S.

Note: I stayed on 580.88, BUT I have manually deleted the game’s shader cache. This has improved things somewhat.
