I upgraded my GPU to a 9070XT from a 3070ti and my overall framerate is little bit better, getting 90-120 fps on high(no RT) with FSR set to Quality but I’ve been getting terrible drops to the 20-50s that last for a couple seconds at a time, as well as some very frequent stuttering(terrifying when a crusher overhead is coming!).
The power draw seems a lot lower than it should be as well, usually around 80-110w while most demanding games pull more than that.
Attempted Solutions (Optional):
I’ve tried messing around with settings and don’t notice many big changes, lowering some makes my framerate a bit higher but the drops are still there.
I’ve done a fresh driver install with DDU when upgrading so there shouldn’t be any driver issues. No other games are having these kind of issues and run perfectly fine.
yeah i feel that also i uprgrade my rx 7800tx card to rx 9070tx card last weekend i still get heavy stutters even with fsr mods even marvel rivals runs way better i still kinda disappointing the really poor optimized of darktide even we are 2 years in the game
try turning on hyper-rx
lower your in game resolution to one step below native with will turn on upscaling and AMFM2 frame generation
I run -60mV, +0mhz, +10% power limit
yeah many games are showing this behavior. I just know to check it each time as the adrenalin pop up shows if the upscaling is active and if it’s not I know what the answer is, go change it and everything else is fine
P.S. I hope the OP tried these settings!
P.S.S. I hope Fatshark implements native FSR4 support!!! @FatsharkStrawHat
5800x should be fine for Darktide. That’s what I’m running and had no issues with stuttering and had pretty good 1% lows while I was on my 3070ti, only started becoming a problem when I swapped to a 9070xt.
ULPS (Ultra Low Power State) is a power setting that regulates power draw for hybrid gpu and multi gpu systems. It makes the gpus draw less power when idle, but also screws some single card systems. Google for more info on what it does and how to disable it.
Have you tried answering their questions in the thread I posted to help track down the issue? They’re looking to track down and since not everyone with a 9070 XT is having issues, the more info they have the more likely it will be they track it down.
