Numbers of blocked rejects in the Social tab

I noticed that only 15 rejects can be blocked in the Social tab, why this limit Fatshark? Can you remove this limit please?

It’s the Shark Social Program, ensuring you are evenly matched with individuals you do not get along with, so you can enhance your social skills while you play.

Also, authentic reject experience.

How can you block 15? I have 8 blocks available

Someone on Steam said it’s bugged. Since I can block no more than 11 and for others that number has been like 5, one even had 0 and coudln’t block at all, that seems true.

I agree that the bug should be fixed and the list size increased to at least 20:ish. I understand why it’s limited, many other games do it too and knowing people, many of them need to be protected from themselves lest they’d just block everyone for the dumbest reasons. Like paid cosmetics, a weapon they don’t like, making one single mistake, etc. For example back when the console version was released, Steam had tons of topics with people raging about the console gamers and how they wanted infinite blocks just to deal with every single new player or console icon. x.x

Another thing I’d love tbh is just to get a date on the block and maybe let us add some notes or something. Given the limited size it’s normal to make room by unblocking others, but with no dates or anything else I have no idea how recent some of those are. I only ever knowingly abusive & toxic people, or trolls who deliberately sabotage the team, so I’m not keen on unblocking any of them.

Used to be 50. You poor people, it must be so suffocating to only be able to block a measly 11 or 8 radioactive jackholes.

Some of us were on a mission to block every speedrunner known to man, FS caught on to us and set the limit. Then there’s the folks that probably went as far as setting up scripts or whatever to automatically block all Xbox players. The latter one’s prob the actual cause of the limit being set lol.

Too many block slots is a bad thing.

You’re not blocking the person, you’re locking yourself out of the run they’re in. The more people you’ve blocked, the fewer runs you can join. Combine that with other people’s block lists and it all adds up to the matchmaker having a really hard time finding matches for you to join.

15 is actually pretty generous. Imagine if every player blocked 15 other players. We’d never find runs to join.

Its a bug and there is a workaround: wait for all players to log in previous mission tab and its should work, it can take like 20-30 seconds. Limit is still 50 which is not enough. About argument that i am locking myself from games that blocked people are in - thats the point mate. If toxic players or just plain morons will be blocked by enough people they will have problem with mm, not us, and consequences are the only solution to people who think they can ruin some players fun.

We’re all using the same matchmaker and blocking people makes it harder to builds teams for everyone. If you block player A, you can’t join a run they’re in. Player B blocks a random you’re in a run with, B can’t play with you. You don’t even need to have blocked anyone personally for your pool of potential teammates to be diminished. The more people each person has on their block list, the worse it gets.

If you don’t want to play with someone, that’s fine, go ahead and block them. But do it knowing that it cuts both ways.

Yarp. Quickplays and solo-queues are GOING to have a noticeable non-zero number of people of dubious quality.

If they’re not screaming hateful bile or being utterly intolerable, just do your best to deal with it. There’s gonna be bad players in the queue. Sometimes people just have bad matches, some people just don’t learn from repeated failure (morons). Takes more time to block them than it does to just let it go and move on to the next match.

If someone is OBVIOUSLY griefing or intentionally face-checking a Daemonhost or something like that (not something I’ve noticed too much of since coming back nearly a month ago and playing literally every day for several hours throughout different times of day), by all means give 'em the block.

Liberal use of the block feature says more about the people mass blocking than it does the folks they’ve blocked.

I am pretty sure i have never blocked anyone. Maybe one griefer. Is 15 not enough for some reason?

Community solo-mode. We can have it if we all block the same guy together :stars:

I would swear that on the occasions I’ve even looked in the social menu, all the player names there are completely random. They don’t seem to reflect recent missions, at least for me?

I once went looking for a player from a game (actually because they were good - @ “Bob” the Ogryn if you’re out there  ) - and I recognised none of the names. And yes, I do remember his Steam Name, so used Steam instead!

My Modus operandi is to block people on a temporary basis for a week. Then unblock them and make space to block others again on a weekly basis when need to. Seems to work thus far.

My max is 6. Why is there no consistency across the board…

Sometimes I have to load the social tab multiple times to have the option to block someone.
So I don’t think there is an inconsistent limit it’s just bugged as hell.

But the social tab needs an complete overhaul. It’s near impossible to find people sometimes regardless if I want to block them or send a friend request.

Part of the reason the block function doesn’t work in the social tab is that it appears to require whomever you’re blocking to register as both “online” in-game and “playing” (meaning actively on a character, not just sitting in the character select).

I know this because the one time I attempted to block someone (an Ogryn playing in regular t5 who deliberately face-checked a Daemonhost – jerk literally looked at it, it was pinged, looked back at the team and triggered it before leaving the game) the game wouldn’t let me block said culprit because they jumped back to character select. Once they loaded back into the game it let me block them, but not before.
