Noobs be like

At least they used the medkit lol, I hate it when the whole team is on the last sliver of health and that one moron is just hauling that medkit instead of using it.

Interesting I didnā€™t know that this penance counted for the entire party, but I know others are, what annoyed me the most was that the barrel explosion penance wasnā€™t counted for the group. ( for those that still need that one, the snow map is great for it as it has tons of barrels )

Super pro players that end on floor
I added one super pro player to my block list todayā€¦ he was rushing all the time, and died 3 times far away ahead of the group

And yes we see a lot of players that donā€™t want to carry a crate or that waste them on floor immediately.
Strangely, when I met such players, the failure rate for a mission is pretty high.

Why would kill penances count kills from other players.

That seems kinda pointless to me.

This specific one is all about making you do a specific thing (make use of barrels in your environment).
What is the point in that, if you are not required to actually do anything at all?

Well I agree that penances should be something you have to do yourself to get, but there are countless other penances that count for the entire party, and getting 2500 barrel kills was just silly when I used to get something between 0 - 10 kills per mission before the snow map, apparently they changed it recently so flame barrel kills count as well now so easier for everyone now.

psykers are additionally allergic to carrying ammo crates it seems  almost had to flog some even if they had nothing on them at the point.

good medicine for the

let em charge,
let em die,
keep em down.

works 9/10, ogryn tested, sah

If this is Malice, itā€™s normal that they make mistakes

Where is a player supposed to learn if the other Malice players just called them ā€œnoobā€ and post on the forums instead?

anything under heresy you should fully expect to have to solo the entire level with no ammo and no medipacks

You can give them a crateā€¦ and so force them to take it.
You still take a riskā€¦ that the guy immediately deploy it. Several players think that carrying something make you running slower

At least they used it, lots of players even in Auric, just hold to them like they are the most precious thing, then people start to go down and we get half the value that we would have gotten was it deployed sooner.

that way you can shout at your lungs tops, they wont drop it. they hardly ā€œrememberā€ picking it up on purpose, let alone something spawning in their inventory.

but thanks for the reminder nontheless :+1:

Hey look, more arguements for why I donā€™t want to play this with randoms and want bots at least on par with Vermintide.

I have a collection of screenshots and vids of med crates deployed next to med stations, it makes me wanna kick them and myself in the junk.

Last week it was one next to a med stations with 3 charges next to a green stimm.

P.S. Then thereā€™s this troll move, I canā€™t recall if it was the level 1K for the 37 who made room for ammo crate TBH, it wasnā€™t the middle guy.

Actually this is a perfectly acceptable and logical placement for a medpack. Itā€™s in the end zone where you will remain for the rest of the mission, and if anyone needs healing they go to the med station area. If the medstation has run dry they will still get a heal.

Not the same for all medstations oc, but ones in or near a last stand area is fine imo. The carnival arena is also another spot where this is fine to do imo.

Why on Throne would you make your stand on the inside circle?
Carnival is different, thatā€™s kinda the only hold point.

Itā€™s near most of the objectives, has a med station, is away from ledges to be blown off, has cover, has walls that you can put to your back, has elevated platforms, is near the revive point, makes it easy to see which enemies are comingā€¦

To name a few. Thereā€™s probably more!

Where exactly do you choose to stand and fight in that area?

OTOH, pretty much anywhere outside is better as it forces mobs to funnel to you some, and on the side of the doorway to the left of pic for instance, on either side you can get cover from specials and gunners spawning across from you, e.g. not giving snipers a clear LoS on you. This allows melee to be unmolested by the bulk of shooting crap, and if melee piles up e.g. rager gaggle, you can avoid countershooting and clear them.

For instance, when youā€™re doing the 2 auspex tetris puzzles outside, note how the doorway allows you to shoot straight into the middle or diagonally inwards from the sides.

You can brute force it fine, sure, but it just feels smarter to do the bulk of the fighting just outside the inner circle where you can dictate the engagement more.

I feel like camping the inner circle on Gloriana is the same as being opposite the med station on Carnival.

Thatā€™s not the best placement. If you go to the medicae to take a charge, you will use the medikit. It doesnā€™t heal 5 minutes, it heals 5 minutes OR a number of HP.

Usually I try, as a player, to not go in the medikit area if I could use a medicae. Just to not waste itā€¦

Medkit in the lift is the worst! You can just see that Martyrdom zealot trying to climb the walls to escape. And of course, in 95% of cases thereā€™s a med station just after a lift.

The patch has brought a lot of old players (who gave up fairly early on in their avatar careers) back. Iā€™m seeing a lot of inexperienced lvl 30+s hitting special condition T4s and T5s, and being generally a bit ā€œgreenā€. Itā€™s all good though, todayā€™s 30s are tomorrows 1000s and they can then carry me!
