Mostly fair. I disagree most are constructive because I find maybe one in ten actually has substance or deserves its own thread. Every week we get five threads or more that are basic copies of itself of grievance and nothing of substance. It is more constructive on the forum than elsewhere but really its very bad everywhere I check. (Reddit, Twitter, Facebook, and here.)
Fair, I am a bit salty again. Most the time I just scroll and wait for something useful. Tonight, I felt like responding.

Becasue every week there is no response from dev, there is no road map, there are no plans, no updates and fresh promises (Crafting in December?) are being broken weeks after telling them. All while you read stuff like their lead designer interview, Hedge horrible comments but premium cosmetic store is getting new stuff.

So think about this: How many people you know respond well to being ignored, their questions/issues not answered/addressed, their time wasted and to silent treatment?
Don’t you think how FS handles this situation only adds fuel to flames, hm?

I would not give this community a roadmap or respond during the holidays while I am with family or even the first week of work while I was scrambling to figure out where everyone is on their parts of the project either. I agree Hedge is probably wrong for his position. FS is totally handling this wrong. I don’t have a right answer either, I am not FS so I don’t know what is happening in their studio. Just from my experience in Engineering which may share only a passing similarity, the current level of bad discourse only slows the process down and doesn’t improve the end product. When working on a Simulation for my Operators telling me where and how was helpful but telling me it be broke go fix left me scratching my head as I delved into thousands on lines of code. And my Sims have no visual element just calculations for stuff like the angle of the sun and the moon in orientation to the Earth.

But you do release game in broken state you know it’s in during holiday season? Those are not some unexpected conditions. It’s same days every year, so you can plan around that years ahead. So you release product that has critical time to make first impression during it’s first month-two time and you release it in state that will need constant attention… in time frame that you know there will be noone to give it attention, work on it or be there to communicate and try to put fires down that you know well will start.
So yeah, I would not give community roadmap during holiday. But then: I would not release product is such state DURING holidays.
Electrician doesn’t start working on your electric system in Friday night so he leaves you without electrictiy during weekend “cause holidays” and returns Monday to finish. That’s as unprofessional as it can be.

Fair, as I said they did mishandle this. That is now the past, they screwed up. It is now a time to fix for the present and the future. Dwelling got people killed in the field. (talking military experience there. )
But it’s 5th time in row they did it and every time it was said “now it’s time to fix for the present and the future”. After so many times: nobody believes that or will give them good will. Now you really need miracle.
And that may be true. I am not asking for good will. I am asking to stop filling everywhere with trash and vitriol.
Edit: Very few people in America like police but you don’t stop the police in a fire fight stopping robbers to tell them they are bad people even if you know they are pretty poor cops.

Dark Tide does mindless fun extremely well. I like 40k, but not enough to forgive game breaking bugs, I just don’t encounter them anymore, so I’m having a blast. It disappoints me others are unable to get the base level of enjoyment that I get from the title, even as flawed as it is. Yuck, I just thought about the final cut scene.

It disappoints me people are incapable of understanding such a simple concept like holding developers accountable for their laziness, incompetence, and greed, and then playing stupid and trying to pass it off as malice.
and it disappoints me think that developer’s managers being bad at their jobs excuses the malice of the community and try to pass it off as holding developers accountable.

For someone who claims to have been in the military, your skin sure is thin if you think saying FatShark is incompetent and lazy because it shows in their work, or lack thereof, in a public forum is “malice”.

OP, how do you feel about the low-effort positive reviews on Steam, like one sentence or a meme instead of actual constructive info on what they like about it?

“I dIdN’t SaY…” That’s the problem, you haven’t said anything of worth or managed to back up any of it with anything other than your opinion.
All you’ve actually shown is that people complaining just rubs your old, crusty, crotchety self the wrong way and you just wish all these whippersnappers would learn about how you had to walk three miles, up a hill both ways, through a thunderstorm, to be able to play tabletop and stop complaining.
Not OP but I feel the same way about them as I do the negative ones. If your going to review put some effort into it. Otherwise what’s the point.

Oh thank you. I have been trying to seem older since you know boomers are over 70 by now. Which is most of my coworkers. I am a nice and young guy from the late 80’s but yea I am crochety and one of my life goals is to yell at whippersnappers because that sounds fun. Complain all you want. Actually please do, just do it with some substance. And if you think it is of no worth why are you still trying to measure up? Someone is a mite peeved because they have had just as little substance if not less than.
