I’d enjoy it more if me and FS agreed on what “mostly” meant in the “mostly melee” part.

Auric and Maelstrom - Now trivialised by safety of ranged weapons
I don’t like Havoc because of lack of quickplay, also team mates blaming each other for loss and rank decay.
When Maelstrom popups centre mission board with no ammo modifier it is like a Xmas temporary gift.
Many players join then to realise then leave. The ones that stay - It is completely different breed of players. No exploring for ammo, more fast paced, very up close and personal. Hit hard and hit fast.
Whilst Havoc will significant reduce ammo reserve and low pickups. A mission without any ammo feels like an entirely new game.
I know many players will dislike this modifier, so asking only to have one mission with this modifier always appear on mission board.
There’s a ton of fun modifiers (and combos of them) that would be great for the auric board, let alone mael. I, knowing it to be very unpopular, love blight spreads. Dark rituals is fantastic. The ogryn spam mod was the best before it. People like the changeup M21st brings.
They just don’t seem to want to leverage the work they already did to provide us more variety. Not even trying to understand it anymore.
I feel as though with so many requests and things raised about weapon/class balancing, fun took a back seat in terms of maps and modifiers, more liberty on mission board of choices. Almost as if they’re being pulled from all directions and unsure of focus area.
I suspect additional server overhead involved if each player has own ability to choose exact map and exact modifiers themselves for then to be generated tailored, as opposed to quick deploy of pre-made rotation of maps and modifiers.
I’m not asking for the custom missions like some are. I’m asking for these fantastic modifiers - additional game content - to not be locked in havoc on top of being on rotation. The work is done, put them out there. Auric should likely be a havoc-lite/havoc prep mode now anyway. So peppering these in ones and twos on there seems like a logical next step anyway.
I adore Dark Rituals and it makes me legit sad it will likely get yeeted to the void.
CI-VI ? that’s fun. hard to see at times which overhead out of a blob of crushers you dodge, but it should always be on the board. the issue i have with this board is that mods that get tiring (dogs and mutants) are always up, but fun ones like totems, moebians, brutes, explodeheads rotate out.

However, I don’t like that the game throw maulers and crushers in mass in these missions. This make them really repetitive.
Dogs was my favourite mod… until it repeated too much.
Yeah I really hope we get more of the Havoc modifiers in regular Maelstroms/Aurics. Dark Rituals is a BLAST, I love getting the lieutenants and breaking those monoliths.
Most no Ammos I play have walls of Flak and armoured and its less fun and engaging when this is thrown at you en masse because its the only thing that slows melee down.
Hit hard and Hit fast? I find it tedious and Im sure others do.

Yup. I made several posts that players be given set allocation of meds/ammo only.
It also solves the problem of ammo sharing. Just have no sharing.
It won’t be popular modifier and disliked a lot - Great then you know if you match make this mission modifier the type of players you’ll be paired with.
Bruh, that’s a skill issue. People don’t look for ammo because they don’t wanna get separated by the hoard/gunners/bombers, or get too far from their shout and chorus bots. Just bring have a good comp and there will be no ammo scarcity. Most maps you really don’t have to scavenge anyways, and open areas where you do, you really shouldn’t.
No-ammo modifier is just too braindead easy. Just run at mauler/crusher hoard with DS4/MK3 Club and Inferno Staff and you win…
Try using Many More Tries, if you play in team comp, or gathered randos somehow, you can play CI-VI to your heart content.
That’s with things that are fun until they’re repeated too often. Dog mission = hold a choke point, bash away at it until the howling stops.
