All missions have a penance for “complete X number of times”. Rolling steel was always up for about a week, moving it into the current rotation doesn’t feel out of line.
That said, hopefully with weapons now unlocked we’ll see maps get unlocked as well and be able to choose any map and modifier, if nothing else let us do that for private games.

I work from home and sometimes i have very little free time but really really want to play a very quick mission.
Rolling steel is perfect for a 15 minute break. But if its not available 100% of the times then i no longer can take those tiny breaks because loading up the game itself takes like 5+ minutes.
Operations should be available 100% of the times just like karnak twins are.
Ofc your reasons are maybe even more important than mine. Don’t forget that devs themselves stated that one of the main reasons behind Rolling Steel is players who just want or are only able to beat a fast tight mission.
And i completely agree with this.
Yes this is common practice for every map but Rolling Steel is supposed to be something new and is labeled as a whole different category (operation).
As such it should be always on rotation. Also it accommodates people who just want (or have only time for) a fast blast.
Operation is just a descriptor like Assassination or Investigation. For the longest time Having Drako was the only one of it’s kind as well.
A better argument for Rolling Steel to be separate in my option is so you don’t get it on quick play, but then you run into the same problem you have now with the Twins where almost no one runs it. If it’s always on the board and in quick play people will be sick to death of it.
Karnak twins and rolling steel are completely different types of content. Comparing them is pointless. I wouldnt want to play karnak twins even if it was on mission rotation, if i would be thrown into a karnak mission from quickplay i’d quit it every time.

Agree. We should have a new board called operations. But I guess it will come later when we will get enough operations missions.

The map should be available all the time but kept out of quick play if it is permanently available.
There should be a separate board for Operations once they add more of them.
Pointless!? How so? They’re both “In and out Morty, 20 (10) minutes tops”. Go there kills stuff, go there kill stuff quicker with more “puzzles” that half the team won’t help with.
They should make the Karnak mission harder if you want to play it so people don’t just bell it. I want to replay it too but its just so pointless killing groaners and 1 Karnak twin until the end. Put some waves of elites in there for kark’s sake.
The whole Karnak missions is begging for a bell-less non-hard-mode remake as you said, could make a neat flashpoint to pair with train.
OR have the train crash into and lead into a re-made Karnak mission.
