Tops, send pls more video here, all should see and know the best of the best..
Hereâs me clutching a havoc 22 game on Joplaygamesâ stream. Granted I was playing the classic Taunt ogryn with sword and board, or in this case Car Door and Mace. Most of my mods are ui stuff, True level, Who are you, NumericUI, and an Fov mod that push the view models a bit forward
I finally got the link to work lol
What solo accomplishment would you consider roughly as difficult as completing Havoc 40 Duo?
auric damnation histg true solo/duo with no talents equipped
almost hard if not harder than true duo h40, at least in h40 you have talents.
Thanks for the answer. I was wondering about solo achievements specifically â is there a purely solo challenge that you think is roughly on par with a Havoc 40 Duo run? Maybe Havoc 21 solo? Or Maelstrom?
And what has a bigger impact on difficulty overall: the talent tree, or fully upgraded weapons and curios?
Letâs say we compare two characters:
One has access to their full talent tree, but is using starter weapons (the basic grey ones that canât even be upgraded) and no curios at all.
The other has no talents whatsoever, but is equipped with fully upgraded weapons and maxed-out curios.
Which one do you think would be stronger?
i dont think you can unequip curios. unless you start a new character.
but of course if you donât use the talent tree you are going have a difficult time.
grey weapons with talent tree is easy.
no talent tree with maxed out weapons is hard.
try yourself a game with no talents selected just to see.
local man on another alt?
Obviously no talents is harder since generating toughness without them is a play which forces you to play extremely passive and safe
The state of the game all classes have a broken build in one way or the other you are goal post moving for no reason.
Why do people beat havoc? Itâs not a difficulty test or a skill test itâs a DPS test. If your team canât make the DPS check than the games over.
Sweats arenât these super gamers or darktide only players, they are just players that took the time to learn the combat system vs button smashing.
If you want to play harder content or carry in aurics with ease, every time you die itâs your own damn fault, and figure out what you should have done in that situation in retrospect and donât do that again in future missions.
Win/loss doesnât mean much for havoc, every day people are forming random groups and playing it regardless if they win or lose for fun.
I have no mods, so no score board but if I had to say in randoms on oceanic servers(mainly Hong Kong) itâs a 1 in 5 game win rate.
So why is the win rate so low, itâs just different play styles and vibes with a team with some impossible rng thrown in.
I joined a 16 with me havoc 40 and two other havoc 40s with one havoc 20 player, game wipe by two nurgle bosses at the same time in a tight place after a drop down so no kiting possible.
Havocs problem of pugs isnât bad itâs the rng that can end runs on any difficulty and you just accept it and reque, so win to fail ratio doesnât mean much.
nah i agree, i was mostly referring to people claiming they never lose havoc pugs somewhere above that. sometimes you just get blasted with bad situations and if your teammates are weak you canât do much
I played some aurics with no talents and random grey weapons on vet at the same time, the hardest part is the no Regen of shield made it more like vermintide game so you canât get hit by any pox walkers since having a full shield is hard with the range enemies.
Definitely doable in auric to carry your own weight, just punishment is extreme. I used grey dueling sword and grey plasma cannon since itâs my best skilled set. The game play is the same as a havoc 40 weapons wise since your damage output is less you have to hit multiple times.
Was super fun, I couldnât get the trinkets unequipped so I just used some green +2 Stam trinkets.
I think a premade grey, no trinkets, no skill auric run would be a lot of fun more so than havoc 40
Highly skilled players donât get fun from just playing; it comes from the results and a beautiful game as compensation for thousands of hours played.
The only fun left is to enter low-level randoms and push them to level 40.
What are we playing for? Just to have fun? There are no rewards.
Actually excellent suggestions
and yet fatshark seems adamant in adding âflashyâ new havoc stuff to battle the overdialed values characters and weapons got right now, when right under their noses the base game provides all one craves in darktide/40k/fps.
almost like blessings, talents, perks and any other mmo fluff shouldnt have been there from the start and a pure skill based quake-like approach would have offered plenty of challenge at minimal dialing of the enemy scale/health ![]()
yeah i like my bullrush on my ogryn, but at the same time this now interwoven slide/attack that is mandatory to engage the gunner hordes and survive is the âwrong kindâ of fast paced.
rather up the run speed but i didnt pick ogryn to play
and even the pace of this feels ârightâ in comparison
âSweats arenât these super gamers or darktide only players, they are just players that took the time to learn the combat system vs button smashing.â Anyone who puts in hundreds of hours of game time, this can apply too.
Also, my entire point behind the argument was all these people claim Havoc is easy are the same ones who play absolutely broken builds and play with insane mods bordering the lines of actual cheating. I will MAINTAIN that playing with randoms 8/10 times is much more difficult than playing with a premade group. RANDOMS can literally change the entire outcome of a game unless you are playing a build that is actually completely broken. Majority of links here have been either A: Broken build/crazy mods. B: Premium Deluxe P2W class or C: Hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of attempts to be saying âwow itâs easy nowâ yeah, i am sure those hundreds of hours it took you to achieve that was âeasyâ.
I still havenât seen any videos of people hopping into Havoc with randoms and completing the game, EASILY. Just a WHOLLEEEE lot of talk about âits so easy to play with randoms I donât do it anymoreâ yet absolutely no proof once so ever.
There are lots of videos on YouTube of random havoc 40 go search it up, if youâd like when I get time Iâll record a random group on Hong Kong servers (closest but play style is different than na/Europe).
Why people say havoc is easy is golden toughness. Gunners are so overturned every group has to build into invulnerability.
Premades are the only groups not doing the meta. But the average auric player which most players will get to can play good enough to pass a havoc 40 just by staying with their team itâs not a difficult thing to pass, itâs a DPS check and a toughness check, sometimes you will get impossible rng so you just reque, but calling havoc 40 difficult is a stretch.
Most people want more weapons capable of havoc 40 because of the DPS check not a skill check. So why play havoc? More boss fights and different modifiers to changeup the gameplay not just a difficulty thing.
If they got rid of toughness or made it only apply to range attacks it wouldnât matter if some weapons are overturned the player base would immediately start failing aurics, damnations, heresy and malice becuase the current state everyone is tanky and the player base just skips the fatshark gameplay by shield right now more so than damage
