New Drip is Fire, Driptide

Man, it sucks I’m broke right now. That Psyker helmet in black looks great. There are a couple of other things I’d love to get, like the flamer skin, and that knife skin from a few weeks back.

It’s ok they’ll be back in rotation in like 3 years, isn’t FOMO great?

Yeah they do a 4000 credit one off for a reasonable price and now it’s just waiting game for the cosmetics I do want to cycle back in

Heaven forbid I can buy anything when I want.

Nice right?!

Guess Again!

And it’s the wrong color! :face_exhaling:

Oh well, missed opportunity

The Zealot helmet is tempting even if it has slight camo paint…looks really good on the Elysian set. But I already got the flight goggles to wear for that one, which looks amazing, and just way too much Zealot wear in general (this is the curse of them getting cosmetics that mostly don’t suck).

But yeah the dark brown leather Psyker get up is hard to find matches for. I use it with a chemsafe rebreather, one of the first ones that’s like mostly plain leather.

The Faithful are rewarded!

As for Munitorum Battledress, it best goes with Moebian 21st Rebreather, Trader’s Hat and Scrutinizer Hood IMO. The collar clipping ruins a lot of combos

Eh, it fits together IMO.

It goes together ok in the right lighting, but the color difference is definitely noticeable. The helmet looks great, I’m just being nitpicky about the color. The clipping is the real tragedy

I actually do theorise that Veterans and Zealots in Darktide are Latent Psykers, yeah.

Veteran Examples:
Executioner’s Stance and Voice of Command are both straight-up Psychic Powers. The former allows Veterans to detect Enemies through cover and walls; the latter allows Veterans to knock Enemies back on their arses simply by shouting, even though Veterans don’t have Ogryn-sized voices.

Zealot Examples:
Shroudfield would be best explained as Zealots using their Psychic Powers to obscure themselves from Enemies for a short duration. This would also explain why Daemonhosts are still able to detect Zealots while they’re in stealth beyond it just being a deterring mechanic.

WITCH PROPAGANDA DETECTED :woman_mage::face_with_steam_from_nose:

Veterans just shoot gooderer and shout bigly, Zealots are simply too Righteous to be spotted by the heretic - the foul are blinded to their holy presence.

Faithful kindred are simply built different :flexed_biceps:

TO THE BLACKSHIPS WITH YE :flying_saucer::skull:

There is no agreement with your Liability-aligned fake news in the summary below

Summary

Jokes aside though I’m inclined to agree from a lore perspective. It kinda reminds me of all the stuff in SWTOR of all things (and SW canon overall of course) when people ask "oh how can a Bounty Hunter/ Trooper/ Smuggler/ Agent go toe-to-toe with big-midichlorian-energy force users and one of the general explanations is “low latent force sensitivity” possibly giving access to stuff as mundane as hyper reflexes or durability (like perfect dodges/ the toughness system in DT perhaps?), or more advance stuff like say blaster bullet-bending or limited telekinetic stuff like force pushes etc. (ES & VoC type stuff here?)

Could also explain the Aura & Coherency system in a way too, close proximity between these very low level psykers could bring out something latent, but not quite like da boyz and the gestalt field… well apart from survivalist kinda being like that one story you see mentioned a lot when a guard regiment started running low on ammo and started shouting “bang” and magic lasbolts or whatever hit the orks, but I don’t know the source for that one, so it may well just be memelore run amok again as is (unfortunately) normal :person_shrugging:

Either way, it’s cool to think about!

It makes alot of sense honestly

What’s wrong with Mysterio from Spider Man?
