Hi

Fatshark,

if there will be new dlc like maps, classes, etc, please add them in Steam store too, not only the shop in game with aquilas
i mean, just like any normal dlc
(can’t use in game shop )

99.99% certain any gameplay DLC will be sold on steam. That shop is for cosmetics

From their recent FAQ, I’d say it’s mostly likely the new DLC will be done through their in-game shop:

No need to go over why this will be ant-consumer: no refunds, have to use monopoly money to buy, and that DLC will have a FOMO timer no doubt.

The idea that people are entertaining the idea of paying for DLC when the game is already charging for premium skins AND the barebones base game is really depressing.

well, just like in vermintide, i imagine that there will be a link to the steam page within the shop for each of the DLC. going into vermintides shop you can see that on the front page there is the DLC, despite it not being sold for in-game currency like most of the other cosmetics. as such I think that darktide will work much the same.

however as much as I would like to think that fatshark has done nothing but curb stomp the teeth of my trust for them so who knows, maybe they will lock the rest of the crafting system behind a 20$ paid DLC which can only be bought through aquillas

I am not paying for dlc for a broken game and no one else in their right mind should either. . .

I am so sick of this ****y company treating us like idiots with wallets and gaslighting us every step of the way. This will likely be my first and last Fatshark purchase. I don’t even think things are going to improve at this point. Not in the ways that matter.

Edit: Lol they don’t want me swearing but they’re fine with abusing mentally vulnerable people with predatory monetary practices, and releasing an unfinished game where even some of the cosmetics are broken.

If any paid content is created before the base game is finished fixed and running smoothly then nobody should buy it.

To be honest we should all wear prison garments only until they stop trying to sell cosmetic items before they finish the game lol.

Didn’t they say that maps and game updates other than Class would be free.

you can expect in-game content, such as new areas, game modes, and missions, to remain free

I think it is useless to argue for no reason. let’s wait to see what their roadmap looks like to get an idea of ​​the future of the game and if Fatshark continues to listen to the community there is no reason to worry.
