New Class Dec 2nd?

Adamant.

Oh! That’s pretty random lol

Adam ant does actually fit into the DT cosmetics world quite well right now

Funnily enough, I am the type of person who often tilts at the windmills. However, I genuinely don’t understand why of all comments I’ve ever made, this one in particular made you post this image as a response.

Of course but GW has reasonably strict criteria for what can and cannot be done.

We have to look at what realistically fits within the current framework and Im still unconvinced that it would be any kind of xenos.

We have a Rouge Trader which would allow many of the things people talked about, if it were just a Rouge Trader. But its not, because we also have the Inquisition, the Arbites, the Ecclesiarchy, the Astra Militarum and the Adeptus Mechanicus involved. I just dont see all these fanatical factions playing nice with a numerous bunch of xenos coming in.

I could be wrong :man_shrugging:

Speaking about Hive Ganger. There already were Necromunda gangers themed cosmetics for every calss. Like are the gonna sell the same theme cosmetics but class specific now in that case? It will be just lame.

It’s not like there are any lore restrictions, if the lord inquisitor says you to jump you jump, if he says jump while holding hands with xenos you will do that.

It’s more like they would need an insane ammout of non-trivial voicelines for every gender and archetype, aswell as NPC in case with xenos. It will take a bigger amount and harder writing.

And a different less humanoid animations in case with stuff like kroot.

Most of the time FS is just reusing stuff they have. Summons AI from V2 skeletons+dog animation in DT = Arbites with cybermastiff.

Please point to the people who are doomposting about the release in this thread. I’ll wait.

There are lore restrictions. Why do you think there arent any lore restrictions?

I mean you can’t have a tyranid in your party. But if we are speaking about sane races that can do diplomacy then there are none? Cause inquisitors are above rogue traders, so all the stuff RT-s are allowed to do, Inuisition can aswell but with no limits almost.

Ravenor was taking some psykic power lessons from aeldari and Eisehorn was ok with that. Czevak was chilling in Black Library with aeldari.

Next Owlcat game about inquisition will have xenos party members. So it’s only about what faction DT inquisitors tied to. Even then, puritans can go radicals or anything inbetween.

Even within the races that do diplomacy there are restrictions and the other groups within the Mourningstar do have weight to them, even in the face of the Inquisition. Like I say, considering the factions we have involved, I dont see a wide scale xenos introduction. But you are right, given GW’s blessing they could introduce any element they want. Just my 2 cents that I think its unlikely both in the lore and in the games design setup.

Not strictly so actually. Its a delicate balance of power and political intrigue. In the current story, Brahms is doing Grendyl a personal favour as its said they knew each other as friends before and also she believes in his campaign. Rouge Traders can and do regularly tell the Inquisition to naff off. Thats not without its risks ofc but thats what being a Rouge Trader is all about

I am by no means an expert in lore, but what I learned from playing Rogue Trader, any species which the Rogue Trader allows on the ship will be on the ship. And the inquisition is known to deal with Xenos when they see benefit.

I’m not saying it’s likely. And considering the real world limitations of Fatshark, I don’t believe it for a second. But it would be cool. The lore can be stretched enough to allow it. And most players think cool trumps lore.

An aside, but I’m pretty sure we don’t have lots of anybody running around.

Every bit of lore suggests that we are squeezed for resources (we out here eating tainted rations!), and people are definitely one of those resources. Going back through all of the cutscenes, it seems clear that we’re part of a very small warband (regardless of how many players are playing).

I think that thematically fits the Tide games, seems in the Dan Abbnet style, and it explains pretty much everything: why we have the captain of the ship in our ears, why we’re in a lobby with the core retinue (every NPC is named, they’re not randos!) and very few other players, and why I think there’s ample story cover (besides just rule of cool) for xenos to join us. It’d just be a few weird guys!

And we need guys, even if they’re weird!

Well, you, for instance. I was mostly talking about people who were doom talking about when the class will release, and I mostly saw them in YouTube comments.

But in this thread, to me, the person who came across as someone who has been dooming about the release of the class until Jo plain out said it, was you.

I mean, why would you be posting that the class will be released on dec 2? Why did you feel the need to post this as if it’s some big news that people don’t know? You’d think that people would immediately assume that the class will come out on dec 2 based on when the Arbites was released.

So the image stands then. LMFAO, how is this post doomposting homes?

You are an odd flucking duck.

Im not sure thats necessarily true. While you are correct that our resources are stretched thin, remember Tertium is the size of a continent and has something like 90 billion people in it, so stretched thin over a continent maybe.

It seems like we would need thousands of rejects minimum to throw in to the war and its likely only a handful survive, so we are viewed as expendable.

But then again, the story and clarity of scope is muddy at best. We have potentially thousands of rejects aboard the ship each day? Or is it only meant to be 50?

I’m pretty sure the war band gathers for the acolyte cutscene and the traitor curse one. Its like 50 people and a bunch of those are the NPCs we love so much and various guardsmen that otherwise just exist on the morningstar to say ‘OY MOOVE ALONG’. However there are the Moebian regiments in addition to the rejects, wherever those guys are. And Melk’s ‘auric class operatives’ though I’m pretty sure the reference lines for that on Chasm Logistratum were removed. I guess we’re auric now guys.

As for trying to stir more beef, I’m pretty sure OP just posted that video because in the mercurial world of NDAs and delays having something resembling a confirmation is nice. Nothing more…

That’s what I think. It fits the against-all-odds Tide vibe, it would explain why everyone knows us, why we’re so clued in, why we don’t have space marines around, etc. etc.

It’s not. I wasn’t saying you were “doomposting”. You’re doing a straw man argument right now. Please read my message again. I was saying that people like you need to stop being so dramatic about things like when the class releases.

You are not doomposting, but you very much gave off the impression like you were doom thinking that the class will not release on dec 2 only to be surprised by Jo and make this post thinking that everyone didn’t already know this when they first saw the roadmap.
