Nerf Shout by giving it a charge time

Patch 1.9.0:

Veterans now need to inhale breath to shout. Hold F to inhale; the longer you inhale the more effective it is. Veteran cannot attack while inhaling.

Scaling:

Light stagger+50% toughness (quick tap)

Knock down+100% toughness (0.75s charge)

Knock down+50 gold toughness (2s charge)

There. Now if you want to use a defensive support blitz you have to actually sacrifice damage.

Just change gold toughness to a 50% damage reduction boost

This board inability to go for a day without desiring to nerf veteran one way or the other is becoming quite pathological and to be frank…makes some of you look like NPC’s at this point, just doing it because its fashionable!

Shout been nerfed twice within 4 weeks, so its fair to say that you had your cake and in fact you had it twice, yet here you are mistaking it for invitation to whine and moan for a third one…

Doing ten pointless nerfs doesn’t change anything.
One meaningful nerf is all we need.

Id rather they take baby steps with nerfing.

Just because you think the seriously severe nerf to CD reduction was pointless doesn’t actually mean it has any connection with reality, thats just you boiling water and calling it a soup.

You guys would do better trying to balance stuff instead of trying to punish it!

The problem is we’ve been tip toeing around this issue for over 2 years at this point and the issues caused by shout (and to a broader extent gold toughness) have not been addressed in any meaningful way since.

Let’s buff Infiltrate first so it’s not a gimmick ability and when we finally have all three ultimates in a nice place, we can tone down the strongest one.

I’d rather have more mechanics and enemies like Plasma Gunner who counter certain things on the player’s side.

People should honestly, at this point, stick to PLAYING the game, instead of acting like discount game designers who don’t know a thing about making a fun game.

Let’s switch infiltrate for a deployable turret. We don’t need two classes with stealth

Buff shout by allowing Open mics to shout into mic “FOR THE EMPEROR” within 1 second of activation giving a +40k% bonus to the ability.

I do feel like the double stealth abilities are kind of boring next to each other because they’re not particularly different in interesting ways… between the two it feels like it makes less sense for Zealot but I don’t know what would be a good replacement (Sororitas Acts of Faith with frequent charges to buff a single melee attack w holy fervor? could make it hit in an AOE or proc off other things? would help satisfy the people who want a more explicit Sororitas ability) so a Veteran turret could make sense

No one will use shout if the golden toughness gets removed. Same goes for chorus.
Literally the main point of the 2 abilities because it lets you “tank” damage that would otherwise kill or seriously injure you.

What about that Standarte we see in the pictures. Give it the old loner mechanic, aka it counts as a person such that you and all allies in coherency gain coherency toughness +1. Add the effect that enemy attacks do not suppress coherency regeneration while in coherency of the Standarte.

And zealot can either carry it on the back or plant it on the floor. If he forgets to pick it up it will have a 1min cooldown, if he picks it up it will immediately be on the back again.

With sub nodes like:

  • increase threat generated by 75% while wearing (karking hate melee enemies passing me to go for my teammates behind me).
  • Block cost reduction + stamina reg delay reduction.
  • Limiting damage from taken attacks to 50 while Standart ist placed.
