Need Some Zealot Help

Okay, so I don’t play Zealot much at all… But getting more into him as I go. I need some more experienced Zealot help. So, I’ve been messing around with the Dueling Sword. I’m just wondering what exactly is the current Meta with it. Like, Perks, Blessings, etc. I want the best break points to completely destroy more armored types specifically. I’ve seen people go for Thrust & Uncanny for that combo is this really it? There’s just so many combinations out there that I just want the best in that regard. Maybe any tips also would be amazing.

Perks: 5-10% Crit Chance, 25% Damage Against Flak or Carapace which ever you prefer
Blessing: Ripost(For Crit)/Uncanny Strike(Armor)

Just wait for any overhead & keep dodging aiming for the head. You’ll be fine. I’ve also seen Uncanny & Thrust which is decent too. Also seen Ripost & Precog too. My personal fav is Uncanny & Agile it’s just fun af. You can’t go wrong with most combos.

Depends on the build you are using. On the buildplanner are some good builds.
It depends because some abilitys give bonussen to stats ( crit, finesse etc.) while others give a flat damage boost.

This one uses riposte for example:

This one uses your blessings:

This one uses 2 different blessings.

I cant really give you any breakpoint rundowns since i just test my weapons in the psykhanium and judge efficiency on how many hits i need to kill, so this is just what i like to use personally.

I got Crit/Carapace for my perks and Uncanny/Shred for my blessings.

I chose Crit and Shred to increase the uptime on Scourge, Enduring Faith and Invocation of Death, some people like riposte, but i prefer this basically just because im used to it.

And i got carapace damage and uncanny to dunk on maulers and crushers, uncanny also works on the bleed dots, so if you got 5 stacks of uncanny the bleed has the potential to tick for like 200+ even on carapace which can be very nice in certain situations.

You can go Agile as well if you just wanna dance around the mobs with infinite dodges, but i personally feel this is just gonna give you bad habits that will get you in trouble when you are using a weapon that dont have access to Agile

I run around with this more often than not for my Dueling Sword set up

As you want something more armor heavy, I’d drop Riposte for Uncanny Strikes (as that just lets you drop crushers in like 2-3 pokes), as at least in the difficulties I like to play the dodge refresh is invaluable. If you don’t do Auric+ you can easily as the first comment said sub out agile instead. (Carapace instead of Maniac too).

But yeah, this builds/the dueling sword is ‘so good’ I actively nerfed it myself just to make it feel worth equipping the Boltgun sometimes. And even like this it still 4-5 shot’s crushers, so can imagine with it properly armor piercing how destructive it is. I just like literally being unstoppable with this set up, flying through hordes with infinite dodges and inability to be stopped or stunned. Just feels incredible, I describe it ‘like the wind’ and I mean it. And every dodge makes the bottom of your screen full of buffs and that makes my brain happy too, along with all the critting you’re doing filling it even more.

Infinite dodge, infinite buff, infinite movement and speed. Nothing better.

This… I was just going to type this out. It’s crazy with Aglie on, Ripost is up almost all of the time. More uptime than even Uncanny Strike. Perfect combo right there. But yeah, since he wants armored more. Uncanny is a must with Ripost it tears through a pack or Crushers like butter. It makes them an absolute joke. It’s breathtaking to me how this isn’t nerfed yet lol. With all of that said; Zealot easily being the strongest melee class in the game, hands-down. The Dueling Sword is so strong that I actually end up using other weapons instead to feel more alive lol.

Just based on very quick research mk5 seems to hit the most breakpoints. Using light weapon on zealot, might as well run Inexorable Judgement. For blessings run Uncanny Strike to chop up armour, with either Thrust or Relentless strikes. Thrust for auto power on heavies, Relentless strikes for -10% power for all types of melee attacks. At that point, it’s just based on playstyle.

Been doing some testing. Tried a bunch of combos out in the Psykhanium. Thrust & Uncanny Strike combined with 10% crit on perks weapon & flak or carapace seemed the most consistent at destroying armor. These blessing aren’t even the crit ones either being I feel duelist is enough anyway. I consistently 2 shot Crushers & Maulers with 5 stacks of
Uncanny & obviously 3 Thrust stacks, also not to mention you can 1 shot them if your Fury is up too with all that going. Seems to work the best so far in terms of deleting those types. I don’t have a mathematical breakdown, sorry… But I’ve tried like every combo just to get to the bottom of this! You’re welcome!
