MY wanted gameplay changes

Let me start off by saying I love darktide, I love 40k, and I love Vermintide. But that does not mean we should look through rose-tinted glasses. These are just some thoughts and changes I PERSONALLY want to see.

  1. Remove or decrease the slowdown on being shot by enemies
  2. Increase the sound of being attacked from behind
  3. Enemies are TOO accurate even on level 3 I get sniped from miles away
  4. Cover does not work as I will just get shot in the head while hiding behind it
  5. Toughness BEFORE even touching health, I’ve been killed too many times by being hit THROUGH toughness
  6. Penances are a bit rough, pysker blast for example barely launches enemies
  7. Remove the cocking/readying of ranged weapons when you pull them out, it just makes swapping from ranged to melee and melee to ranged slow and only hurts you
  8. I can shoot through grates and fences but the psyker’s brain burst cannot
  9. Ranged enemies seem to have omnipotence
  10. Ranged enemies seem to refuse to pull out their melees even if you are in their face
  11. Dred shotgunners fire insanely fast and have very little spread
  12. Dred gunners have pinpoint accuracy and never stop firing
  13. Specials need more time before “spawning,” I have seen Pox Bursters appear through the doors that they spawn out of and immediately jump and blow up offering zero counterplay options
  14. Zealot doesn’t seem to have a place if that makes sense, psyker targets specials, veteran targets ranged, and ogryn tanks, zealot doesn’t seem to have a niche, unlike the others.
  15. Using a staff as psyker and charging it to 100% and using should not do the perils

I can’t think of any more off the top of my head but I am sure there are more that other people have voiced, in short, ranged enemies need to change, the cover needs fixed, and the game needs to be smoother/faster (swapping to ranged weapons) and more consistent.
It is still a great game, but I hope the final launch is much better.

Great points. Agree with nearly everything, besides faster swapping to ranged weapons.

In regards to Zealot, I think is supposed to be the melee DPS class, and a ranged enemy hunter.
