listen, i get it, some people don’t think it belongs, some people don’t care about it, but most people DO want it, somebody even went so far as to make an account on the forums with a name that was asking for solo mode, if not outright demanding it! solo mode was one of the first things put into the book of grudges, yet you have yet to add it. just remove the requirement of two people being in one private game, then you’ll have solo mode. we aren’t demanding it be fully offline with modding capability, just that it be available.
secondly, customizable bots.
we shouldn’t be stuck with just the same random vets for our bots, they never even use blitzes or skills! the least we should be able to do is customize their trees a bit so that they can actually be useful on higher difficulties, or at least let us put our own characters in their places. it’d be nice if we could have our vets, zealots, and our arbitrators all on the same team so while we play our psykers or the like, we can go up to auric maelstrom and not become mulched within 7 minutes because our bots aren’t completely worthless like usual. it would also make people try other classes because they’re forced to do it if they don’t want a team of nothing but ogryns or psykers or some other class.
thirdly, free coloring.
the basic thought is that we’d be able to get singular colors from the commissary and then we’d be able to use that color on our clothes, but not our weapons. this would mean that we can’t buy them in 3 parts anymore, but we CAN still make any cosmetic any color, so long as we bought said color from the commissary. this has been a request since day one. just add it.
This is nice, but for a niche audience. I think what we need first and foremost, for all audiences, is a numeric UI and a scoreboard so we don’t have to rely on modders to upkeep and update them whenever a patch breaks them. The fact that I see a bag of ammo and I don’t even get to tell how much ammo I’m missing unless I memorise my max ammo count for every gun on every character is ridiculous, this is basic stuff that Vermintide has had for an eternity. And how can you NOT have a scoreboard at the end of a game? How are you expected to improve if you don’t even get to know how well or poorly you’re doing?
It’s a team-based game and the only score you need to see is that you made it to the end. Whether someone was underperforming or overperforming will be obvious.
Scoreboard is for the worst part a killsteal score, for the better part shows how much team score you got.
There is simply no way to effectively show how well a player did in a team game where green circles isn’t the objective.
Solo mode isn’t even subjective in my opinion. It needs to happen. It’s one of the best things about VT2; as a player I can decide whether I want to run with randoms and speedrun missions, or go with bots and take my time, explore a bit, etc. Without a solo mode it only caters to one mood; with it, it would cater to almost any mood. I cannot wait for the day I can run through the camapign solo with my own characters as bots and get actual parity with VT2 features.
completely agree. something that makes bots useless is that you can’t direct them to do things like “pick up this book” or “hold this stim” or “pull this lever” when it’d actually be useful. instead, they just annoy, get in the way, and die.
Larger block list
More psyker staves
Havoc settings for The Meat Grinder (currently possible via mods)
Group Finder needs to be finished:
Exclusion options (class, havoc clearence level, blocked players etc)
Being able to inspect applicants (again only possible via mods now)
No, weapon diversity is class diversity. We need more new weapons for each class, not every weapon on every class. A Chainaxe for the Arbites makes ZERO sense.
