Mouse issue (missing clicks)

After buying a new laptop and launching steam and Vermintide 2, I got “Unaware to determine hardware” warning on my screen. I closed it and opened the game, my old data from the old laptop was there, everything was smooth and no lag but realized whenever I click with my mouse, most of the time my hero doesn’t shoot/swing weapon. 2-3 of 8 clicks with my mouse don’t have any response. It usually happens especially when my character walks and shoots at the same time (walks but not shoots/swings weapon). And then I stop and walk-swing the weapon at the same time and it works this time. So game responds randomly to my mouse clicks (sometimes responds sometimes don’t).

I played this game with my old Lenovo i5 laptop and it worked perfectly fine. I used the same mouse I am using now and had no problem. My mouse also works fine but I tried another simple mouse and the result was same…missing clicks. Please help me to fix this problem

My current laptop info: Msi Stealth 15M 11th generation Core i7 11375H
Processor: Intel® Core™ i7-11375H (12M Cache, 3.00 GHz, up to 5.00 GHz)
Operating System: Windows 10
Display: 15.6" FHD (1920*1080), 144Hz 45%
Chipset: Integrated SoC
Video Card: RTX3060 Max-Q, GDDR6 6GB

Try this, which will rule out if a background application is interfering with your mouse input:

  1. Press the Windows key
  2. Type ‘msconfig’ and select ‘System Configuration’
  3. On the ‘General’ tab, select ‘Selective Startup’
  4. Deselect ‘Load Startup Items’
  5. Reboot your PC
  6. Launch Vermintide 2 as normal, and see if the issue persists
