I was really happy when I got my penance to kill (what was it, 500k enemies? Forgot, was a while ago) over my career? But why should the penances stop there? You can keep doubling them so you don’t have to make an extreme amount of penances for it. Could we perhaps see more penances and/or titles for like 1 million skulls? Two Million Skulls? Red for some perhaps? I dont wanna lose count of my skulls!

This penance used to require 1million kills, which was reduced to 500k.
There are multiple other “stat tracker” penances that were nerfed with the penance update.
And there have been multiple threads asking to get large number stat tracker penances back into the game.
Imo, they should have kept the top tier versions of the penances as they were, and simply added more stages in between, instead of lowering the requirements of the top tier versions by up to 2/3.
Now that they have taken this route, i think they should reintroduce high tier penances, potentially in a separate “Heroism” section. Penances that do not award penance points, but are very difficult or very time consuming to complete, and award cosmetics with special effects.
I have suggested the same thing a while ago, so i will simply refer to an older post:
They could even add multiple additional stages, where the first stage adds a glow inside the cosmetic (as i masterfully created above), and the second stage adds an additional glow (or other effect) around the cosmetic.
For example:
- 500k kills → skulls portrait frame (as it is currently in the game)
- 1mil kills → 500k frame with glowing eyes
- 2mil kills → 1mil frame with glow around the frame
Bit of a segue here, but: the frames themselves are a bit bland, don’t you think?
Other than a select few … they all look much alike. Admittedly this is looking “back” now I have most of them.
